... myself and @vintagelaureate will be doing some kind of resale spreadsheet .... will get the NFRs on there .....I best add some new lights for next year so you can ;)

I think there is a thread about the resale and lists. Unless that is what you are on about. Anyway I'm sure the efest army will pull together and pull out all the stops for everyone. We need everyone at the fete.  The bottle stall is always popular.

1) you can get away with this once, do it again and its blacklist city.

5a) stewards don't stop runners. Big ass security at the pinchpoint into the field usually do though.

1) is it frowned upon ? had considered this but dont want to do anything that might cause annoyance .... I thought it might be fairly common place and yes it does seem like it might be fun based on some posts recently

It is definitely frowned upon! It has to be, otherwise all the "volunteers" would be doing it and they wouldn't have anyone left to steward drunk people around

@crazyfool1 Just a quick post to say this thread is amazing and shows how many people are happy to help you.  I am positive you will get there. :) x

its a very decent place to be ... and part of the reason I returned so quick after the sale , despite a bit of a smog lingering over my head ... I liken it to the mist that used to descend  from the wax flare candles and fires in the beautiful vale of Avalon a few years ago ... and thanks ... welcome to the forum

not in terms of doing a runner ... no way id do that ... dont the places just get filled with other people before the festival and a deposit taken .. or is this more costly than the deposit taken ... no way im going to f@@k over a charity believe me

They don't like it cos of the admin overhead of reallocating people say after the resale if you got a ticket. They like to get all the shift rotas done in advance so if you pull out it becomes a headache for them. Plus if you serially do it then they dont feel your committed and write you off.

Just to clarify - having a place then dropping out before the festival wouldn't be a problem unless you were doing it repeatedly. Not turning up without notice, or going AWOL obviously would be.

ah ... mixed message here .. see just posted message above

Oh i see! You mean get a place and then drop off early on if you get a ticket? I did think it was a bit odd! Apologies, I blame multi-tasking

I assume that must happen loads, yes. Our very own @Ozanne got a space with Oxfam last year last minute, which I assume came about because some people dropped out, and I remember it seemed that a fair few places were available

ok so many of you will be aware of my trials and tribulations over the last 24 hours and some new members maybe not ..... but the farm dust is beginning to settle now and I thought amongst the emotion I need to thank quite a lot of people for the support and advice given to me .... via pms and quotes .... ive written down a few people that have helped so thank you @chazwwe, @Hugh Jassdelighted your bus came in @Steveb72 for the resale help ... @Cream Soda... again ticket help @CeriG for help last year and offering this,  @Ayrshire Chris  for the help offer  and the thread setting up post .. @morph100 hoping see come good for you ... @ChunkySandwedge your message about me protecting my hat during the beach balls at hobo jones made me chuckle last night when it was much needed along with the help offer .... @Supernintendo Chalmers the fancy dress will start in due course ... @dingbat2 thanks for support before and after the festival and @flyleen for your help on Tday good luck with the band entry method ... and @MrZigster your idea is well worth more investigation and to everyone ive missed

Ive got a few ideas of some different ways to make it to the farm and will be chatting with you all over the coming months and days in the run up to our favourite festival ... I had initially thought of disappearing into the mist but I think this forum and the festival would leave too much of a gap .... My mission now is to get to the festival without requiring the resale so the other resalers get as many ticket opportunities as possible but in the meantime im going to work out how to do this spreadsheet thing and help there ..if i have no luck before April I would be proud to have help from the forum .... but success pending you will all need to be on your guard for a hug from me at the efest meet

To all the new members floating about at the moment have a look at the support and friends ive gained from this forum ... hit the gold button at the top and you will make some friends for life in here .....

And finally but by no means least can you please also do me a favour and get @vintagelaureate to the farm ... `i think hes taken a break from the forum we have never met ... but the support and friendship has been fantastic

ok finally (sorry about the long post ) apologies to @H.M.V  I misread a post yesterday and overreacted some of your good friends made me see my error ... never easy to say you were wrong on an internet forum but I very definitely was

OK see you all at the efest meet Alex xx

Yea me lolol

We'll be on it for you old son.. I'll make you an honourable old son..

Old son crazy fool

yep ... the forums going fast at the moment which doesnt help either ,,,,, I think Michael Eavis might even be able to blend into a crowd better than me .. so no legging it from security with the pyramid on my head ...... actually reminds me of a quick story ... quite a few years ago we were crossing the pyramid field myself and a couple of friends ( must have been on a quieter day when all of a sudden we were surrounded by 3 of the security land rovers .... (id just handed my hat to a friend and it had a badge on it) they pulled up and searched my friend based on the fact they had information about someone wearing a similar hat with a badge on it dealing ) we weren't :)

Someone had a hat like yours? Impossible! Still think you should get some old phones up either side as screens and then wirelessly link to the BBC coverage as someone on here suggested.

it was probably 10 years or so ago when the fancy dress was in the early stages ... hats not developed at that time might have been 2007 before I brought the wig
