ok so many of you will be aware of my trials and tribulations over the last 24 hours and some new members maybe not ..... but the farm dust is beginning to settle now and I thought amongst the emotion I need to thank quite a lot of people for the support and advice given to me .... via pms and quotes .... ive written down a few people that have helped so thank you @chazwwe, @Hugh Jassdelighted your bus came in @Steveb72 for the resale help ... @Cream Soda... again ticket help @CeriG for help last year and offering this,  @Ayrshire Chris  for the help offer  and the thread setting up post .. @morph100 hoping see come good for you ... @ChunkySandwedge your message about me protecting my hat during the beach balls at hobo jones made me chuckle last night when it was much needed along with the help offer .... @Supernintendo Chalmers the fancy dress will start in due course ... @dingbat2 thanks for support before and after the festival and @flyleen for your help on Tday good luck with the band entry method ... and @MrZigster your idea is well worth more investigation and to everyone ive missed

Ive got a few ideas of some different ways to make it to the farm and will be chatting with you all over the coming months and days in the run up to our favourite festival ... I had initially thought of disappearing into the mist but I think this forum and the festival would leave too much of a gap .... My mission now is to get to the festival without requiring the resale so the other resalers get as many ticket opportunities as possible but in the meantime im going to work out how to do this spreadsheet thing and help there ..if i have no luck before April I would be proud to have help from the forum .... but success pending you will all need to be on your guard for a hug from me at the efest meet

To all the new members floating about at the moment have a look at the support and friends ive gained from this forum ... hit the gold button at the top and you will make some friends for life in here .....

And finally but by no means least can you please also do me a favour and get @vintagelaureate to the farm ... `i think hes taken a break from the forum we have never met ... but the support and friendship has been fantastic

ok finally (sorry about the long post ) apologies to @H.M.V  I misread a post yesterday and overreacted some of your good friends made me see my error ... never easy to say you were wrong on an internet forum but I very definitely was

OK see you all at the efest meet Alex xx

Hope you make it! Glasto won’t be the same without your hat.

its a strange one for the fallow year I started the prep very early ... but now im holding back .. on neither occasion was I certain about tickets ... over the coming weeks as things firm up and Michael and Emily get fed up with the new stalker on their front lawn I will start some kind of tentative plans

@crazyfool1 - I have Vintage Laureat's details. I couldn't help him in this sale, too hectic trying to secure my group but in the resale I have his back.

It ain't over yet, for either of you ?

excellent ...he told me ... he was going to help with your bus tickets initially I believe

I remember one of my uni lecturers once saying; "never apologise - it's a sign of weakness." That guy was a dick. Being able to apologise is a sign of strenghth.

Same here. @vintagelaureate gave me a text yesterday to say he’s taking a break for a bit. Told him all the “ticket success” chat will die down soon and it’ll be back to normal so hopefully he’s not away too long.

In the meantime I’m sending him any competitions we unearth on here so make sure anyone without tickets is kept in the loop with those as although they may feel like million to 1 shots they do actually come in time to time!

As always with long shots .. you are an example of one people have to win tickets in comps and I have also won a pair in the past so these things aren't impossible ... In draws I seem to be quite lucky too ... waiting for the terms and conditions of this ballot thing at the moment :) keep chatting to vl im sure you will x

Not a problem, Sir. Your love and passion for the festival will see you successful. In fact, here's a gif of you strolling through the gates in June...and we know that the Simpsons has a great track record of predicting the future.

thanks ... :) its a shame you didn't make it ...

Hi there @crazyfool1   We have never properly interacted as I am more of a lurker than a poster but I read the forums every day and it's clear to me how much you love the festival and how important it is to you.

I hope that you manage to get yourself sorted before the resale but, in the event that you do not, please add me to the list available to help you out in the resale.

Good luck!

Yes you're a thinker, a deep thinker I believe with a heart and thats all good in my books :-) Yesterday was a wake up call for me, I was always quietly 'confident; to get tickets (erm now know thats misguided) as had alwasy got them in the first sale for the last 9 years, we tried yesterday as hard (for friends) and epically failed, not a sniff. Thankfully I had my work place offered last Monday so wasn;t going for tickets BUT if Could have been so different, and I would be in exactly the same position as you are - so I have total empathy and drive to get you, and others through those gates. I'm lucky I can  have an extended break for work, and can and have chosen to use that break to work the festival - certainly does not work for the majority but for me it does at the moment. good Luck sir

I came in here for pie ?? I leave bereft!

this time last year I’d not got anything in the ticket sales, and was thoroughly gutted - due to splitting up with my Missus (who i’d always gone to Glastonbury with) I thought it was really bloody harsh missing out on the next one, I really HAD to be there. Tears and huge grumps were had.
I got busy and contacted a great big bunch of volunteering groups, ended up getting 4 offers. I went with the Oxfam one, cos it seemed the most cushy deal - and I’ve stayed with em for next year. If you HAVE to be there, then you will be. There’s lots of avenues in. The annoying bit is that you can’t really do anything decisive til Feb, when they start sorting it all out . . .

ive certainly considered the work route ... id definitely put my all into it if it were to get that far ... but its probably my last option ... and yes I know people love to work it ..... but its my one holiday for the year so would love to keep it that way .... I chose myself not to go for bus tickets on thurs despite getting them for friends ... but maybe it was what fate decided ... they may have been the last 2 tickets on that bus and it might have locked out ... and nobody ended up with them
