Yeah they did, on their Instagram they have a post for every fest bar primavera

The smart money is on The Strokes playing but the whole thing seems rather odd. Perhaps they are holding out for more money?

There is as much reason to give up hope as there is to being optimistic. Nothing has really changed other than speculating amongst ourselves. The fact remains that there are headline spots to be filled and The Strokes are about to do so.

Given the week's discrepancy in announcements, it seems likely that some kind of deal must have done with Primavera to delay announcing other European festival appearances by The Strokes until a week(-ish) after the Primavera line-up was released. If The Strokes are also playing Mad Cool, it is a bit strange that they didn't get announced yesterday alongside the others, and the most obvious reason I can think of is that Mad Cool have chosen to wait until they can announce both Friday headliners, and something is delaying the other Friday headliner?

This could make sense if the other headliner is My Chemical Romance, and Mad Cool are embargoed from announcing until after the Milton Keynes show has sold out, or something like that.

It looks like Nos Alive still have a headliner to fill the 11th July so I'm thinking that maybe it's not The Strokes for Mad Cool but someone who is also playing Nos that day.. 

Of the headliners doing the Europe circuit in July it's pretty much only Kendrick Lamar/ ASAP Rocky /Pet Shop Boys/ Pearl Jam who aren't at Mad Cool, and for exclusivity reasons or otherwise it's doubtful any of those are the missing Mad Cool headline.

So I'm guessing it's someone without any dates yet.

Currently have Two Door, Da Weasel, Parcels and Haim on that day and whilst I have absolutely no knowledge of Da weasel the others I don't think would be heading- correct me if im wrong of course

Da Weasel may be the other headliner for that day, honestly. They're one of the biggest acts here in Portugal and this will be their only show after being inactive for years.

NOS Alive headliners for that day are The Strokes and Da Weasel, so they don't need another headliner!

Back in October, Nos Alive had only announced Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, and Da Weasel, and they were very much being presented then as being headliners for each of the three days respectively.

without trying to take away from Mad Cool, if anyone is trying for MCR tickets tomorrow i found out from work again that there is a second date set up for 21st June in case it sells mega fast so dont worry too much if you dont get a ticket straight away!
