The amount of wood chip etc that they put down now means that even in worse weather it doesn't seem to get as bad.
Luigi
What have been the worst years for weather? I’ve only been a few times and am convinced I’ve seen out the worst years (2005 and 2007). 2005 was actually reasonable by the Sunday. 2007 was unrelenting. Apart from 2011, I think I've been to all the bad ones in the last 25 years - 97,98, 2005,2007 and 2016. 2007 was the worst by far, although 2016 was worse for mud, I wasn't anywhere near as bothered by that as when it kept fucking raining in 2007.

Yep survived all those too - just found these of 2007! The first ones with the green grass was Weds. After that it all went Pete Tong as it were 🙄

Bring it on! Sadly Big Dog has left us and made a break for the pearly gates 😥 But fear not the well is still filling and a new weather predictor will be sourced. If a ouija board can be found we may get his masters voice / farty arse again.

Ditto We've been finding our old camera films and getting them done.. You never know what's on them and we've got LOADS. But it's great fun old sons can't remember the year 97 I reckon but wet mud is better than the sticky mud.. Because with sticky mud you get stuck and slip which makes it more dangerous And then some nut case puts straw down and your boots go from size 9 to size 11 and weight a ton lol

If you’ve got it and I’ve got it then god knows what it’s like in Shotts and Harthill! Edited December 4, 2020 by Ayrshire Chris

squirrelarmy
Are you sure it was thundersnow causing the sonic boom? There was a large meteor that entered the atmosphere and was heard across the northern hemisphere.
