Yes I have prepared to do it for this festival but one of the reasons I know that the numbers will be smaller is because I've promised myself that going forward I will accept my fate on ticket day and if I don't get them plan something else.

The not knowing does kill me a little and I have decided that in future if I don't get them I will just plan a nice holiday instead but not Glastonbury weekend I do have to torture myself and watch the footage!

Oh no, how could you do it. I couldn’t watch if I missed out, would be too sad and emotional. Has been hard enough to watch the BBC sets, shed plenty of tears over the weekend. Would definitely plan a trip away.

Since I started going in 2010 I have only missed out once and that was 2011 and I basically camped out in bed and watched it all day. It's not the same because I don't usually watch that much on the main stages but I'm not able to deny that it's going on and seeing the TV footage for me is better than seeing nothing.

I think no matter what I am going to book Boomtown next year - that's regardless of success in the resale. I need something concrete to look forward to. Plus I don't need additional leave for that. I was looking at other festivals last week and there are a few I'd like to try but I have so much difficulty getting time off as it is, and I don't want too much booked around the same time either.

Yes that's what I mean. We have the added difficulty of having 2 problematic dogs that we have to find someone to look after so Glastonbury is the only time we ever leave them the rest of the time we holiday in cottage breaks with them. One of them has gotten even worse in the last year with severe noise phobia. it is so bad I am already panicking about who we can get to look after them for future Glastonbury's!! She currently won't leave our driveway. We're working with a vet behaviourist to try and get her to a slightly better place. All the clap for carers every Thursday night has stressed her out so much so whilst it was a lovely idea to begin with I was so glad when they stopped it.

We have a minimum of 8 people recruited to help with ticket buying so far, including some in Dubai. They are aware it's not a case of one and done if they get in - they've got to hammer the shit out of that F5 button.

Between our group of 4 I think we currently have 17 people confirmed to help. They have all been told to keep trying until the bitter end.

Good numbers - I've got about 12 for mine and @Charm's group, with more willing to jump on hopefully, plus a few off here who have very kindly offered their help.

Are we thinking its for deposits again in October? Rather than full balance like April?

(Sorry if you've already gone thru this)

Not sure if it has actually been confirmed anywhere but I think the consensus seems to be that October will only be deposits again :)

I’m sure I read somewhere that it’s deposit in Oct the full in April

That makes it easier for helping out. I can cover deposits and have it transferred back after, but full balances I'd have to phone for payment and thats wasting time. So that makes it easier 😊

Remember how Cummings wouldn’t trend on Twitter because of the porn filter - we need to persuade Jack Dorsey to block the word Glastonbury so people will stop hyping the fucking resale.
And anyone who runs a Glasto Twitter account, stop sodding tweeting and giving people help and advice when they’ve no clue 😂

Every tweet I see that says “definitely trying for Glastonbury tickets this year” makes me die a little more inside 😂

It’s just all sorts of wrong, do they not know there is a whole crew of dedicated resale members who absolutely have to get tickets first! Bucket listers do my brain in !

I’m at the bargaining stage I know, but can the bucket listers just give me the tickets for rollover Glastonbury and I’ll honestly give them next year 😂 (I probably won’t be saying that in a years time)

Is it just my Facebook feed , but everyone seams to be taking about getting tickets in Oct,  hopefully they will lose interest when all the tv coverage and Facebook hype has died down .

Not just yours as I say over the weekend 15 people got in contact with me or tagged me to say they wanted to go etc. As @blutarsky said I was a little unglastonburyesque with some of them highlighting the bad things but it was mostly because apart from 1 couple I genuinely think most of them would whine when they get there about it being 2 busy etc. Luckily all of them seemed to think just wanting to go made it so and usually I find that the enthusiasm to go does fade but with lockdown etc I think there will be more who follow through.

Not been active for a while but was originally on the spreadsheet for the April resale.

Will back be trying again in October and as before more than happy to help again.

You will still be on there unless you asked to be removed ... welcome back

one of my engineers has just asked for holiday for next June , he feels he should try for tickets for Glasto before hes 50 .. i have of course put him off , and denied his holiday as i already have that week booked ...! .. bloody bucket list'ers eh . !!!

Yep I hate bucket lister's even though the first time I went I was one :D I never imagined it would take over my heart and soul. Assumed I'd go once just so I could say I had. How wrong I was!!

Haha!

My boss says things like "the Glasto lineup looks really good, shame someone else has already booked that time off". Damn right, it's my festival not yours 😂

everyone has to have a first time , i get that and would encourage it . but .. it the people who want to go just because they think its the thing to do .. not for the music or atmosphere ect .

shall i get off my soap box now ??? lol

Yes to be fair I always loved my music and art etc so I was fully invested in going for the first time. I just wasn't certain that I'd be able to cope with the whole experience toilets/drunkenness/crowds etc. Some of the people I have seen asking about it genuinely don't seem to have much interest in music apart from lots of very middle of the road stuff. I can't imagine they'd go beyond the Pyramid Stage. Some of them I suspect would be chair dwellers as well!!
