Another large one!

Our group was at 84 last year! But I've narrowed it down a bit this year to be 72. Twelve groups of six. I shaved off the ones that didn't participate / didn't wake up in time / caused issues etc. It's difficult but manageable. Everyone in my group knows I'm the boss! Haha. And I've very strict rules as I'm sure you do too.

With groups this large what’s your success percentage and how involved is everyone at resale day?

Our immediate crew is 7... literally I am the only one able to get online to book tickets and it's pissing me off. I booked time out of work and even cancelled a regional burn event this weekend so I could be fully present for the sales. And they can't even be bothered to cancel their gym plans.

They're lucky I'm not the "whoops it wouldn't accept your reg!" type...

They can't even be bothered to miss a session at the gym they could do an hour later. I'd be tempted to tell them where to go...

Yeah, they've not been to Glastonbury since the HMV queue up sales days, so they're not really 'getting' the urgency and importance of T day.

Or most fundamentally the thing about being part of a team of people trying for it :)

Does that mean they're happy to miss it too?

You make excellent points.

The simple truth is that it's so popular these days you need as many as possible trying if you want to improve your chances (and of course theirs too :) ).

In the old days I had plenty of years where it sold out slower and I would keep trying for ages until I succeeded for a bunch of folks, but there just isn't the time now.

Our group was usually 4... last year 2 people got added a nice 6!

Now I just got added to a Google doc with 12 total... 8 of them newbies and dont know a thing about ticket buying etiquette and I dont know them or have any contact with them. Im fucking bricking it this year.

I'm really struggling to corral my people. I think we should have one group of six and one group of five trying for London coach tomorrow (plus one rogue Truro person), but three STILL haven't provided their details on the spreadsheet. I'm starting to annoy myself with all my messages. They've probably muted me.

No skin off my nose if they miss out, but it's a pain not to have it sorted.

On the assumption we'll fail on the coach tickets tomorrow, we'll be trying for 14 tickets on Sunday, which is a really annoying number, so I hope at least one group is successful in the coach sale (ideally mine, so I can concentrate on sorting out the others rather than stressing about my own...)

On the day we use FB chat but with very strict rules as to what can be posted and why. We also have direct contact numbers for all groups.

This makes perfect sense, and would love to know the rules are, exactly.

Seconded! I'm having a hard time figuring out how to warn certain members in our group that they need to STAY FOCUSED (without sounding like the fun police...)

I've a similar thing, although I 'organised' our groups so we have fewer newbies haha!
