Ayrshire Chris
Sad to hear he is very ill. A tremendous drummer although quite a cantankerous individual! Years of heavy smoking taking its toll. I remember he blamed jack Bruce for playing too loud that it damaged his hearing.

Stokesy10
That is so bizarre, Cream popped into my head this morning and I ended up in a Wikipedia wormhole which included Ginger. What a character.

Avalon_Fields
I saw the Baker Gurvitz Army play the Glasgow Apollo back in the 70s, the set list was a few songs for around 30 minutes, then an extravagant drum solo that was at least as long, but felt like about 3 hours, one of the oddest headline acts I’ve ever seen. grumpyhack
I remember seeing him at The Corn Exchange in Bristol with the Graham Bond Organisation. He was so out of it that he had to be carried on and placed on his drum stool leaning against one of the pillars. But he came alive when the band started and drummed like crazy. At the end he collapsed back onto the pillar and had to be carried off.
