Hi everyone, Ive decided pretty late on that I’m going to try for Glastonbury tickets for 2020. I’ve been 4 times before but never in a camper-van, me and my cousin are taking our partners so thought I’d try it. So I’ve got a few questions if anyone can help, Thanks in advance

I’ve had a quick look but can’t seem to see some stuff

1. How much are camper-van tickets? Is it full payment or deposit?

2. If there’s 4 staying in a camper-van, do they all pay a price ( other than ticket)

3. Does it work like the car parks, get there earlier and u get closer to the gates?

4.  Is there any restrictions on size of camper van

5.  If we were to arrive on a Friday and. Park up the van, would we park miles away and maybe even a full field and have to maybe go to another one( aiming for east)

6. Is it easy to get a camper van ticket or is it just as hard as getting the festival tickets

7. I thought I’d read that camper-van tickets go on sale after the festival tickets, are we talking about directly after, or in the same transaction as the tickets, or later in the evening/ week

thanks for any help, and feel free to post any other tips that may be useful. Thanks, much love

Hi Waynewdk

Here’s some answers to your questions from my experience:

1. They were £120 per vehicle (a car towing a caravan counts as one) last year and you pay in full when you buy them

2. No, you will each need a normal ticket but then just one campervan ticket per vehicle

3. Yes. Although my experience is all of the west and there are only two fields there so arriving late doesn’t make much difference. I believe it makes more of a difference in the east.

4. Yes. The max length is 8m (I cant remember the max width but it’s around 7m I think). They don’t measure your space on the ground for you like they do at some other festivals and it’s pretty laid back so we’ve never had a problem with this.  They allow bigger spaces in the Bath and West fields and I think you pay a bit more for these

5. Haven’t stayed in east sorry, but never heard of anyone getting turned away from a field that they have a ticket for.

6. I wouldn’t say it’s easy. We still treat it like ticket day, though to be fair we’ve never missed out before and there seemed to be a lot of resales this year.  Be careful because it’s easy to accidentally buy two campervan tickets for the same registration number. The system doesn’t prevent that from happening like it does in the main sale.  So each year we’ve ended up with an extra one or two by mistake and had to ask See tickets to refund. So far they always have refunded without an admin charge but I’m waiting for them to start charging for this.

7. They go on sale two or three weeks later. Last year it was on the 27th October which is a Saturday. They went on sale in the morning i seem to remember.

Good luck and also good luck with the main ticket sale on the 6th as everything rests on that - that’s the one I’m getting most nervous about! ?

Just to add another question if anyone can help, say I’ve got my camper van in the camper field east, can I then go to my camper van with my pals/ partner from the festival, or do they have to be there when I enter the camper van field with the camper, or say I drive down early on Tuesday, get a spot, then my partner/ friends turn up on Friday, would they enter the camper field, or enter the festival then enter the camper field with me via the festival, thanks in advance

As long as the campervan ticket belongs to the reg of one of the people in the van then you're in - that said, I don't think they are mega strict. So you could turn up and your mates later. There's no restriction on people getting into the cv field (apart from having a festival ticket!).

On your Q5 above: In East, unless you blag your way into a close field, then you're in for a walk. Don't worry about it - the extra walk is insignificant compared to the overall walking you do at the festival.
