Aye, sounds like they've had a tough year with acts pulling out/falling through. If Arcade Fire and NIN had been the other two nights you could forgive this as a necessary filler.

God alone knows what the next two announcements are going to look like.

To be fair, it still baffles me to this day that even in 2014 someone thought Jake Bugg would be big enough to headline the Other especially above both Manics & Pixies

In mitigation I think the story went that he was a last minute bump up after Metallica were moved up to the Pyramid. Having Metallica and Pixies headline the two biggest stages wouldn’t have made much sense.

They haven't really done that many shows since they reunited, have they? I'm surprised they haven't even done their own Manchester show yet; they supported Noel G but I don't think that really counts

To be honest their comeback has been a bit of a wet fart. It doesn’t seem to have gained much in the way of traction or interest.
