Font size does seem to make you think HAIM are low. But 4th name down? Seems about right in billing. They would be the same at glasto if you billed them according to potential performance slot on their respective day. Lets say they were sunday, it would go: Taylor Swift, Diana Ross, Noel and HAIM. Thats still low?

Would say they are a fair bit bigger than Rita Ora though who is the equivilent booking on the Saturday.

Rita Ora has 4x the monthly listeners on Spotify. HAIM are an act that I suspect are seen as having a bigger profile on this forum than by the average festival goer.

Still a perception thing. Rita probably above HAIM at a Radio 1 festival, while Haim are higher at something like Glasto, or headlining Latitude as they will be doing.

Here in the states, the billing desparity between genres can be pretty dramatic. Kacey Musgraves for example was 9th on her respective day at Coachella this year, but at Stagecoach ( which is their country festival that follows ) she was a Sub. Its just how festivals want to present certain acts to an audience even though they can be a bigger draw in diff situations.

And yeah, the internet has a funny way of making certain artists seem like a huge deal, and then nobody goes to see them, or its surprising they arent billed higher or something.

But who are Burna Boy and Vald??

Vald is a French rapper. This is a French festival.

Or different countries, in this situation.

Not me. I just perceived that she has a bigger profile in the UK than HAIM, hadn't realised they were headlining Latitude, I'm a bit surprised by that TBH.

Oh I'm definitely surprised at that (would have pegged them as a more similar size to Wolf Alice who subbed Laititude the other year). Rita Ora is one of those people who no one really cares about though, she's perpetually low down on lineups as she doesnt sell tickets by herself

Bebe Rexha is in this situation and realized she had to come to the states to be a marginally known artist. Doing any collab that comes along, just to raise her profile and keep her career afloat is all thats happening for her though.
