Definitely selling out quicker but still vastly different to Glastonbury. Tickets were still on Sale until early May this year having gone on sale at the end of Jan!

I don’t think there are enough names for it to be a recurring slot but they’re clearly open to it now.

Yeah good point. As long as they have a really strong indie/guitar band up against the electronic act I think it works really well

The Jesus and Mary Chain look to be pretty active next year. Another potential headliner I reckon.

Far Out headliner, I'd think. They only headlined EOTR a couple of years ago because Bill Callahan, who'd been announced as headliner, was, depending on which version you believe, either thought better suited to the Garden stage or his London dates didn't sell well enough to justify it.

That would be insanely good...think they opened a door this year with four yet so who knows.  Love my guitar music but watched Orbital at Kendall and chemical bros at all points east and I get “it”.

Caribou have guitars. Pretty much like Hot Chip in terms of live setup. No shredding solos or anything but it’s not a guy bobbing about behind a desk.

I’d fully anticipate Caribou headlining the Mountain Stage if they were there. This year’s debacle with some bigger acts than YLT not headlining has thrown me from saying things are certain but Caribou seems like an easy headliner regardless.

Caribou headlined far out a few years back, probably in the old smaller tent. He was up against Beirut and far far superior

Caribou is a perfect GM headliner and I'm pretty gutted that it looks like he'll be doing it on my year off.

I ask for Sufjan and First Aid Kit every year as well. They better fucking keep away until 2021 at the earliest.

Floating Points’ new album is out today!

He played in both 2016 and 2018 so they may not get him back so soon but I’d welcome it having missed him in 2018 for Susanne Sundfor and King Gizzard.

I hope you're right! I caught his set at Rough Trade East last night and it was utterly spellbinding.

Great to hear! I’ve never seen him. New album is sounding great.

I’m really hoping he plays on the Mountain Stage this year - just think shouting out “when the sun is dying!!” repeatedly would be such a euphoric moment!

Black Midi at Fabric last night was excellent although pretty bizarre. Ended their set with a 30 minute psychedelic/techno jam which was cool if a bit strange! 

Run of bmbmbm, Near DT, Mi and Ducter was amazing. 

Could see them quite high up the Far Out stage next year.

Went to see Pom Poko on Tuesday. Have no doubt they'd go down an absolute storm in the Far Out.

Hot Chip have already headlined, so Four Tet didn't exactly open the door for them.

Who said anything about them opening doors? Perhaps read the lines instead of looking between them?

Anyway...was it a while ago? Maybe due a return? Saw them last night and it was a cracking set
