RustySpanner
With the 2019 survey now to fill out, would be intrigued to know what people put as their three suggestions for 2020 headliners...?
riverlodge
PJ SvE Ezra (but Garden stage)
shoebox
I put Angel Olsen, Beck and Will Oldham. Reckon Angel Olsen must be due that step-up to headline status.
waltdisnae
Angel Olsen, LCD Soundsystem and Jonathan Richman
RustySpanner
I also put SvE and LCD Soundsystem, together with Bon Iver. I realise however that any of those three is unlikely (SvE unlikely to be in UK then I think, other two probably way over budget). I think Angel Olsen is a very good shout. If Zach is better, Beirut would appear nailed on also.
Jeel
I opted for Spoon, Fleet Foxes and Wilco. As they will likely have one female headliner I'll bump Spoon to Thursday and add Sleater Kinney.
Yesiamaduck
Suede (Thursday) Sleaford Mods (Friday) Phoebe Bridges (Saturday) MGMT (Sunday)
Sean1234321
Hard Skin (Thursday) Ezra Furman (special three night headlining residence) 1

WM Hall
I don't actually have an opinion on this, though, because the headliners tend to be the least interesting part and my taste isn't very headliner-centric!
Tomos_
Stereolab (Thursday) Will Oldham Super Furry Animals Ezra Furman I reckon Beirut will be back though, and wouldn’t surprise me if they got IDLES back in a big slot
qrdk
I didn't go this year, so can't fill out the form, but Fiona Apple Angel Olsen Will Oldham is the dream. Then throw in Grizzly Bear or something on the Thursday. Edited September 3, 2019 by qrdk
Declan
Sleater-Kinney (Thursday) Stereolab (Friday) WIll Oldham (Saturday but maybe in the Garden whilst someone dull but popular is on the Woods) Idles (Sunday)

Suggestives
Bonnie Prince Billy .. obvs and Ezra. I've already forgotten who I put as the third ?
shoebox
I know that Simon is a huge Jonathan Richman fan. You can bet he's been trying to get him every year. Maybe one day he'll get lucky.
WM Hall
second Stereolab and Bonnie Prince Billy, would love em both... Jonathan Richman not big enough to headline Garden stage let alone Woods... None of the venues he played ten years ago when he was last here are big at all (Bush Hall, Hoxton Bar and Kitchen, Dingwalls, Borderline)... Would be good but maybe more as a Big Top act (in Beak/Sleaford Mods slot) or third top of Woods Edited September 3, 2019 by WM Hall
Jeel
He has an colab album coming out, but is Bonnie Prince Billy really big enough to headline EOTR? Edited September 3, 2019 by Jeel
shoebox
I don't think anyone here really thinks JR is an EOTR headliner. He's an act that we suspect Simon would love to book.
waltdisnae
Richman would defo headline Garden I reckon! - London venue size doesn't really matter with EOTR programming imo. reckon anyone who goes to EOTR regularly would wanna see him! Think he only does acoustic shows now, in the US, so unlikely. Also hope 2020 is when we finally get Linda Perhacs too.

WM Hall
Artists I'd love but who probably wouldn't headline (definite Garden headliners / Woods sub-headliners, though): Dirty Projectors, Lambchop, Bonnie Prince Billy, Broken Social Scene, Haruomi Hosono, Oneohtrix Point Never
