I should probably know this seeing as I've got the coach 3 times but....can I just check whether you put in your coach location before or after putting in registration details? My group are spread all over the country so we have lots of different possible locations that we could leave from.

Hmmmm. ..I was about to say coach location and then reg details. But now I'm not so sure. You all have to go from the same place, but obviously you know that...

What a helpful post!

so ive got 2 bus goers and 4 main sailers , myself in the main sale ... whats the thoughts on this ? stick with it ? or make a 6 with strangers ? (pm me ) or keep with current plan and add the 2 should we fail in the coach sale ?

Just think of it as a six! You may well fail in the coach sale after all. I always think of any tickets secured in the coach sale as a bit of a "bonus" to the main T-Day spreadsheet as it's less to worry about.

If you secure the two coach tickets then a) make sure they are still around to help you on Sunday and b) use the four days to see if you can enlist a group of two from EFestivals who need help

I'm not 100% on this actually, but I suspect it's regs before location? Anyone remember?

Are you looking to team up to make a six? Or just asking for extra help?

Extra help lol. It’s a long shot but just in case there are any users here which will have a spare morning on ticket day. It’s only gonna be two / 4 of us trying this year!

Well it might just be two of us, that's why I was asking. But would only help if it was reciprocated and the group boosted to six!

Maybe make the decision after the coach sale - I imagine plenty of people will look to take up the offer.

My actual group is a 6.

I found out Saturday that another group I know are trying for coach tickets and then Worthy View. They're a 4, and another 2 want general sale so I advised them to pair up if unsuccessful - 5 of the 6 have been a few times so should know the system.

I'm still dreading ticket day - it's getting harder to get leave from work and sort child care every year too.

cheers ... that was my thoughts but reassuring to see it suggested too .... although I have usually got the groups sorted and the short keys programmed into my devices by now ... just starting to think about if its worth doing the bus now ... and somehow getting home again to collect the car and stuff .. ( maybe not )

I might have this wrong but I think you get

1) A screen with big buttons (coloured clickable areas) Tickets for Wednesday departure / Tickets for Thursday (with Worthy View options below)
2) Enter your registrations - then a confirmation screen with names and you're offered insurance etc

3) Then you get a drop down with the coach departure points. When you select one I found I had it saying "no tickets available" as I'd got through late.
4) Then you're in checkout... and sweating!

I think you're right. With the potential to crash at any point!

Yes and no. The disadvantage is the time taken typing in all the details. Or cut and paste, whatever.

dont know what device you use but i find shortcodes much easier ...R 1 , R 2 etc for reg details and P 1 P 2 etc for postcodes ... I had to put spaces in those as it still has them saved from last time :) ... should be available on most things

The system I've developed, which has never let me down should I get through to the booking page, is as follows:

  • Shrink the window to refresh to about 50% of the screen and put it in the middle
  • Put all details (reg numbers / postcodes / card details) into two word documents either side
  • Have the first thing you'll need (typically the first reg number) copied to clipboard in advance
  • Have the second thing you'll need typed into the additional search bar in your browser, because when you click on it, it's already selected so you can do a quick copy without worrying about selecting anything
  • Have the third thing you'll need be the last thing you selected in the word doc before you selected the refresh window instead, so when you click on it, it's already selected

These things save tiny, almost negligible really, but with practice they allow you to whizz through the early stages. Every split second counts.

Thanks, I’ve never gone that far, I don’t understand why two word documents are needed though??
