lucyginger
Right so I’ve finally (sorry!) got around to the all important jar business! I present the Coffee Jar of Destiny. 2
Sasperella
Excellent work Lucy! Has it been raining much this past week? Currently the run up looks perfect, and then turns into a bit of a visual shit show on wednesday onwards. I'm hoping the icons are a lot of doomsday nonsense and the key take away is the word "showers"
lucyginger
Thanks!! We’ve had a fair bit, but it’s dried up quickly. The Jar of Destiny faces the woods I live by, I walked through the wood yesterday and it wasn’t sloppy. A bit of mud on the sides of the track but nothing to worry about. I’m with you on the “showers” business! But at this point we have all to play for so we just need to keep praising the gods!
pilton digger
lucy loo, loving the jar. We have faith in the righteous jar of destiny. Hailing and praising commencing now.
frostypaw
But have you started digging a well? Looks like it's going to be a bit of a nailbiter so we need all the hope we can get! This is a good start.
eFestivals
much better than a jar - and perhaps closer to site than Lucy - is this. https://www.wunderground.com/history/weekly/gb/winchester/EGHI/date/2019-8-1 (a real-world measure from a weather station at Southampton Airport) Edited August 1, 2019 by eFestivals
lucyginger
I didn’t hear rain overnight but the ground is a bit wet. Jar of Destiny holds no water though. This mornings picture has fruit as per the thread for glast.

Great news on the lack of weather in the jar. Although not protected by the Pilton force field, we can live in hope.
Tommy101
I refuse to believe anything longer than a 5 day forecast, especially if it looks wet. A dry coffee jar however, is irrefutable evidence of aridity.

On the whole, the weather at Boomtown is usually pretty good. I can only think of a few years that were like last year. Fingers crossed we get flip flop weather this year!
