FloorFiller
Just been mentioned on another thread but she’s got herself down for Rock Werchter on her website tour dates so looks like she might well be back despite my massive doubts which is excellent news. FakeEmpire
Yes please! I was concerned when, like Lana, she wasn't re-booked for Primavera.

Hell no. Producing it again herself and using the same engineers and whatnot. If it aint broke, dont fix it. And since when does Jack specialize in Romeo and Juliet country space operas. Can definitely see her doing a Taylor and having the pop more up front and the country taking a backseat.

Or do you mean getting rid of any trace of country completely?

Can definitely see her doing a Taylor and having the pop more up front and the country taking a backseat. You mean do a Dolly. And how is this a pop album if these are some descriptions below. She has been smoking weed, taking acid, learning spanish and fixing up her home while trying to process a divorce. You guys want her to end up as something she doesnt want to be at all. If Golden Hour represented escapism, this record is about “hyperrealism”. Her lyrics still paint vivid pictures, but the weightless euphoria has been cut with grit now, and a revealing melancholy – even if it’s about recovering from pain – marks almost every track. “I mean, looking at the list of songs, we have some that venture into, like, a Bill Withers land. We’ve got that synth stuff that we always loved. And we’ve got some Eagles or America territory. There’s a little bit of a dance vibe,” “ Sometimes I feel like this album has more of a foot in country than Golden Hour” Production-wise, the record places bittersweet songs like fados and buoyant pop tracks practically side-by-side; Japanese katos segue into jazz flutes into aggressive vocal processing. The thematic through-line is equally volatile, as humans in the grips of heartbreak tend to be: the tragedy starts with a bruised protagonist and ends with one significantly less so, but the journey to that point is shaped by setbacks and contradictions. The record’s titular opening track – a pared back, Latin-inflected ballad about resigning from a relationship and accepting fate without bitterness. Fairly exposed at first, it swells into a pattern of guttural electric guitar, spectral strings and a chorus of voices.
