Think the general consensus is someone heavy against The Amazons but Neck Deep would also be a suitable option to be against them really.

Could a "heavy headliner" against The Amazons be Architects? I saw a rumour somewhere that they might have been rebooked for Jera on Air to make up for the whole thing where they pulled out last year. Obviously it is just a rumour but if it were true it would put them around two weeks before hand.  I imagine Trees would take a swing at booking them if they thought they could.

Neck deep in Russia the Saturday of trees. Prob makes them less likely to be doing the Friday now too.

With Frank Carter playing Boardmasters I guess that throws him back into the mix for Trees.

Too big, Y Not and Victorious get far bigger headliners than Trees

Thrill Collins today. Headlining the forest Wednesday and doing the main stage silent disco Thursday. Great fun, if you've not seen them, do it. Particularly the silent disco, was incredible fun last year.

So that is early entry making a return this year confirmed.  Can't wait to see if Thrill Collins can bust out something  even better than the Gangster Rap Medley from this year.

Yeah he was my guess from the start right down to his tour finishing when Trees tend to announce a headliner. Thought download might have ruled him out but as he's been announced for Boardmasters since I'd guess it's just because Trees will be a headline slot they've had to wait

So with Biffy not playing Reading, that leaves them for either APE, Glasto or Trees (definitely least likely). Carter is set to be a cert. Any other artists seem more likely now? 

 

Edit: part of me is really hoping either Gojira or Mastodon will play, probably too heavy for a main stage headliner but too big for a Cave headliner.

The Biffy thought definitely crossed my mind today I won't lie. Still fairly sure the Trees regulars such as Black Peaks and The Xcerts will still turn up.

Yeah they are but they don't seem to have a massive ego so it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility although its very unlikely.

Would love to see Gallows pop up as they are active again, however it seems pretty unlikely that Wade and Stu would agree to fly over for multiple fests on either side of the summer.
