2020 Time off Booked

The one time I booked it off I didn’t get tickets. I make it a rule now not to tempt fate. There is one person on my team who goes every year anyway but none of the others would ever even contemplate it.

Yeah. The "Priority Leave Request" thing for 2020-21 (Apr-Mar) went out months ago and was approved well before this years festival. Similar every year. Three weeks booked plus a few days around my 2021 Birthday. But, for some reason, I always seem to forget I need ticket day off as well. Luckily it looks to fall OK this year.

So, hopefully will be there either as a punter or working.

Had a bit of a 'mare working it this year so hopefully my whinging is discouraging colleagues from trying to get tickets. Not that it matters to me as the leave is mine (evil cackle).

The girl in our car share mentioned about her and her bf trying to get tickets, and I couldn't help it but say what a cluster fuck it was to get tickets. Does that count as trying to put her off? Am I a bad person????

At some point I will need to formally book it off, but it's just known. I'm off that week. Usually my manager comes to me when the new holiday year starts to double check which week it is

I don't know how I am going to approach leave for next year... I think the Wednesday is out the window.

I'll have the time off, I leave my job in a month or so to travel so I'll have my pick when I return.

Cant book stuff a year in advance. However, if they play rough I'll tell them to stick it.
