Never Stop Dreaming is kinda appropriate tbf - we can still dream that something might happen this year, even if its getting increasingly unlikely. All that talk of "nothing until vaccine" from an increasing amount of sources is a sure as shit way to darken the mood on that front.

I hate to say this but there's a lot of reasons why this Summer there will be no big festivals:
- A gradual re-opening is starting soon in most of Europe but it won't surely include mass gatherings during next months.
- Some Countries (including Belgium, Germany and Denmark) already denied public events until the end of summer and some others will do the same soon.
- A lot of important bands/artists already postponed their tour or are working to postpone them.
- It's hardly difficult to imagine that everyone will be freely traveling through Europe in the next few months. There will still surely be some restrictions and safety measures.
- Even if all the travel and mass events restrictions were removed (and they won't) a lot of people would be scaried to travel to a mass event so soon (and buy tickets, food, drinks and so on).

It's only a matter of when, but every festival that had to happen this Spring/Summer is canceled.

Hi folks. There wasn't a thread for Rock in Rio Lisbon but thought I'd just ask on here. They cancelled this years event on April 3rd but are not issuing refunds, just replying to everyone on social media that tickets are valid for next years festival instead. I saw someone mention in their comments that the law in Portugal means that they legally don't have to offer refunds like they do in the UK if the event gets rescheduled. Anyone know if this is true? Many thanks.

MAD COOL FESTIVAL WILL GO ALONG WITH NOS ALIVE >>>> There will be no popular festivals in the 21 districts of Madrid until, at least, November . The City Council of the capital today approved in the Governing Board the suspension of all performances or activities outdoors or in closed areas promoted by the neighborhoods and which are scheduled to take place between the months of May to October. Neither will it be possible to organize those in which, regardless of the place where they are held, it is not possible to control access and hygiene, security and social distancing measures.

"Territorial Coordination is going to issue an instruction to cancel, so that they don't celebrate, this year's district festivals.

Yeah it won't be a surprise if/when the plug gets pulled on this one. I would like to see it happen, but its hard to believe mass events of this scale will go ahead anywhere anytime soon. Or at least at all in 2020.

NOS Alive will not be held this year, said Isaltino Morais, Mayor of Oeiras, yesterday (May 5) at the extraordinary session of the Municipal Assembly.

The news is from Rádio Renascença , which quotes Isaltino Morais: "We must continue to program and work, but of course there are certain events, which for reasons that have to do with the care and prudence that we have to take, in with regard to gatherings, which certainly cannot be held. There are great festivals that will not be held. It is more or less known that Alive will not be held this year ”.

Everything Is New, which organizes NOS Alive in Algés (Oeiras) every year, has yet to comment on these statements.

Tomorrow, May 7, the Government of António Costa is expected to make a decision regarding the summer festivals, this year, in Portugal.

Any news about when will be released the official cancellation statement and the new dates in 2021?

Only next Thursday Portuguese government will discuss the proposal. Only after that the festival will give more details.

Anyone having issues with refunds?

Seetickets UK are not providing any refund option currently, only a voucher or exchange for 2021 tickets. I have requested a refund, but see a chargeback in my future based on their delayed responses to date.
