johnny-yen
For me the worse clash of the weekend but I had decided to see Doves. However, I’ve just seen their Glastonbury set and now I don’t know. Very passionate and exciting performance. Quite a unique band. What to do? Chipbarm
Massive fan of both bands but Doves slightly outweigh it for me, been waiting a long time for this return. Anyone have an idea on times and if there will be any overlap?
gorfield
doves - no debate
DomDom1984
It's a really tough one for me, so I'm just giving the choice to my nephew, who I reckon will go with IDLES. If he can make the choice, then I don't give a fuck who it is.
ShakeyCrash
Doves for me... going to Greenman so may catch idles there (although it looks as if they’ll clash with Father John Misty so maybe not).
Comfy Bean
Remind me....did the Calling Out tent move last year from its usual spot ?

Curlygirl
I'm thinking of sacking off Doves and my mates to see Idles. I missed them at Glastonbury. I did see them at Bestival last year but the crowd wasn't really getting them so it wasn't the best atmosphere.
Mr Slippy Fists
How do you know these will clash? Is there set times up any where?

No set times but the stage and day splits are up with the running order.

Jay Pee
Idles. So incendiary live. Seen them about 6 or 7 times now from sweatbox Student Union venues to the Glastonbury "home comings". My only fear is if too many Idlescurious folk don't get on the rollercoaster during the KC set . They feed off the crowd massively. Doves are decent but Idles live are level ten insanity. 1
eastynh
Seen Idles twice in one day at Glasto. They are not a patch on Doves.
Jay Pee
The Doves set at Bearded Theory this year seemed very pedestrian. The band are parked with the rest of my eighties and nineties Mancunian nostalgia. Each to their own.
4AssedMonkey
Doves. Always Doves. They're the main reason I'm going!
Curlygirl
I listened to the Doves for half an hour on my journey home this morning. I listened to Idles on the way to work tonight... IDLES win! Even looking at pictures of the two bands, Idles look like they're having more fun and it's more upbeat.
SloopJohnB
I’ve listened to a couple of Doves albums in preparation.....I used to be a fan but they are pretty dated I’m afraid
Curlygirl
I had a listen to Bon Iver this morning and didn't like what I was hearing so put my Kendal playlist on. Doves came on first... Skipped it, Mother came on by Idles... I sang along. Its the band that gets you grooving you want. And they'll be an experience. As @Jay Pee says, they need a good crowd to get in the mood tho, I didn't love the Bestival set as the crowd really didn't get them. That and it was 33c and no one had any energy. deschwah
IDLES even though seen them 4 times and never seen Doves they mean something, they have something relevant to say, they are that good and Bobo dicking around in his pants is unmissable

Watching them on the Park Stage the other week was exhilarating. Watching them on iPlayer the other day was fuckin hilarious
