Newbie2019
Hi all, have booked a seat on the 16:30 train from Paddington to Castle Cary. Any idea if this means I'll be guaranteed to get on the train and sit in my seat? I've heard there will be a queuing system of some sort. Any advice on how early to get to the station would be greatly appreciated as well! Thanks all!
Walker2295
Guaranteed to get on train, Yes. Getting your reserved seat, unsure. When I went on train 2017 I ended up switching from 10:30 to 8:30 and was a bit of a free for all in terms of queue and seat allocation really at that time being one of the first trains. But I imagine late afternoon should of died down a bit so if should be more organised. I would say get there for 3pm. See how chaotic it is looking and take it from there. Speak to station staff they make take people with reservations ahead of a just people jumping on trains with open tickets.
danbailey80
Speak to a guard and explain you have booked a seat etc. Don't just sit back in a queue.
