Wifi at the festival?

As a wedding present I promised to take the new in-laws to an NFL game in London this October. Only issue is, the tickets are going on sale this Thursday at 10am. Currently, my plan is to use 4G and hope for the best, but I was wondering if there's anywhere on site that provides wifi in order to boost my chances of getting through?

I'm going to try for libertines pre sale tickets in the queue tomorrow if I can, if not I'm sure I can spare 10 mins Friday morning but yes....signal is the question!

In a word, no.

 

However, the onsite network should be pretty speedy on thursday as not everryone will be onsite by then.

Your best bet is to get all of your friend's phones on different networks having a go. It seems random who's 3 / 4 G is up at anyone time. Also - if it's that important you could get up early, jump on a shuttle bus and use wifi in a Shepton Mallet / Glastonbury café perhaps?

Thanks for the responses.

I think I'll risk the 4G, and get a few people to try alongside. There is a resale of sorts much nearer the games, so it's not the end of the world if I can't get any.

Just need to make sure I'm up, and with it, by 10am.

If you're having problems, try manually switching your phone to 3G - likely to be less crowded.

If past years are any indication, EE should have public WiFi broadcasting at their locations, and maybe one or two other places around site. Don't think it's any better than 4G though as it uses the same connection to get off site.

assuming you don't need them for specific dates then Wembley tickets are on sale now...

Unfortunately, they can only make one of the games - Panthers at Bucs on 13th Oct. 

Not much I can do except give it a go. It's not the end of the world if I don't get any, I'm sure they won't hold it against me.

Probably the less popular of the two spurs games - so fingers crossed.  EE tent usually has had wifi as incident said.  I managed to get wembley tickets earlier, but obviously spurs is slightly smaller.  Good luck!

you should be fine first thing in the morning ... that seems to be the best time for network reception for me ... its when I catch up on any secret set news
