Seems such a daft policy, had no idea it was so strict. Can think of lots of genuine reasons a ticket would get lost, stolen, or destroyed.

Yeah but if word gets out that they'll just replace it, people will exploit it and sell their tickets since they can just say they lost it and get a new one.

Seems odd to me that you're surprised,  given you clearly know how precious they are.

As you'll see in this thread, where people suggest claiming they didn't arrive - if that was an easy process each year that would clearly be an invitation for others to attempt fraud.

I have never heard of therm reissuing lost tickets. It would allow twins of others who look very similar to someone else to get in for free, by just getting a ticket reissued. They only check that you have a ticket and you look like the person on the ticket at the gates from memory (cant remember if they scan them these days do they?)

It's clearly stated in the T&C,s

https://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/information/tickets/#TCS

,'' Duplicate tickets will not be issued for lost or stolen tickets.'

Step one: stop bins being collected

step two: go through every room in house

step three: empty every bin and go through that

step four: make your mum buy you a £2000 hospitality ticket

step five: buy a spade/para-glider

With any luck, mum initially put it in a safe place cos she knew it was the ticket. She may have used a different safe place to her normal due to it not being her mail but someone else's. It will be there. She won't have binned an envelope with her kid's name on it without thinking twice. Toss that house, it should be there somewhere.

Are they still available?

Think there’s still some but more luxury  camping packages and god knows the price now, but surely they will drop the prices next week, would love to hear a story of someone holding their nerve and getting a yurt for a bargain last minute.

I don't see why they have that policy. You just barcode entry. If you 'lose' your ticket and attempt to sell it on to another, it's a race to the gate. The same happens with camping in WV. x people per bar code - once it has been scanned x times, no more entry. There are so many reasons you could lose a ticket, no matter how hard you try.
