I use Gorilla tape and strong pegs to attach mine - you can attach string to the four corners and attach them that way too. The downside is that they rustle loudly which is only a problem if you are in a very quiet area or at night - if you use string or pegs you can untie them when you're not using them. Someone should invent a non-rustling tent solar shield ? We have some silver reflective tarps which we use instead of space blackets - they don't rustle. hodgey123
Going to have to seriously temper my alcohol intake during the days this year I think, which will almost be a blessing so I don't get too drunk and can stay out longer into the warmer evenings! Fat envelope
I've got a fresh roll of silver covered bubble wrap style insulation left over from doing the shed - tempted to bring it along but worried it might just make the tent even hotter if I go with it... Our caravan fridge has a freezer compartment, just big enough to hold 4 capri suns. In the main fridge they'd probably stay ice cold for a couple of days... depends what else you have in there. ogriff
I've got one of these https://www.decathlon.co.uk/tarp-fresh-camping-shelter-id_8300081.html which you can either put over your tent to keep it cool, or between a couple tents to create a shady space to crawl into when it's too hot (only in a nice non crowdy campsite though, obviously)
