I’m clinical until Sunday and then non-clinical on Tuesday, @Digi

Someone’s gotta do it as the Government ain’t!

Gods bless the NHS ❤️

Ben

It's getting way too hard to drag myself out of bed now! Today I'm presenting our M+M cases which is something I was really keen to get us involved in as nurses. I'm starting to think it was a rubbish idea... I should be day off and packing or spending way too much time reading weather reports!  Thankfully I'll be done for around 2ish

Saturday and Sunday is going to be painful!

Ha! I’m the blooming lead for Governance so I have to organise ALL of the M&M meetings!!

Hope your last few shifts go quickly and without hassle, and have a wonderful time on the Farm in the sure knowledge that Michael and Emily are ‘our’ kind of people.

Prepped. Primed for action from tonight for two whole weeks. Very professional with details of who to contact in my absence.

But to me it feels like it says “I give zero fucks for the next two weeks as I’m off having an awesome time in Somerset...”

I started at my new job on the 3rd of this month, after being out of work since early this year.  At every point of the interview process I mentioned Glastonbury as being something that couldn't be moved!!  I'm having to come back to work on the Tuesday, which isn't ideal, and I can tell the boss would have liked me to maybe go down on the Thursday... but..

Out of office set to go on at close of play Monday evening...   I cannot wait!

Finishing work on Tuesday at about 3pm.

Should be in the queue - with a cider - at about 8pm.

In 2017 I was set up by 9am on the Wednesday, spent the day there, then had to go back to work on the Thursday and returned with Mrs Woffy on Thursday evening.

Weird, weird day at work, that was; lanyard / guide round my neck,  wristband on (obvs) and ticket and pass out stub in my pocket.

I'm working at home today. I have left ALL of the really little but easy admin jobs till today, so it looks like I've achieved loads by ticking lots of tiny things off my to-do list. Off to Sainsbury's in my lunchbreak to buy gin-in-a-tin and a few other essentials, then the out of office is going on. Tandem Festival tomorrow and Sunday, the packing on Sunday night and off on the train on Monday. Yay!

I'm actually a total saddo who loves anything governance. I changed jobs last September and now lead a small team of major trauma specialist nurses. One of the first things I did in the role was get my staff involved in the whole M+M process... they hate me when their name pops up as case reviewer!  Presenting to a room full of consultants doesn't really come naturally to most nurses!

I'm hoping for a quiet weekend in major trauma land! There is only so many times I can mention Glastonbury in the middle of a trauma call! ?

Have a great (and safe) festival too

X

This is officially the longest afternoon in the history of the calendar.

Its longer than every Xmas eve morning put together...

I swear I've been sat here for at least 488 hours today....

We got a general email today about how unethical it is to spend hours planning an event whilst in company time....... (Well I hope it was a general email)

I didn't notice it for a while as the weather thread got interesting.....for a few hours.
