gigpusher
I was listening to Emily Eavis' Desert Island Discs today and wondered if for the 50th they would try and get some of their favourites for the 50th. Van Morrison and Bob Dylan seem obvious targets based on what she said.
Rose-Colored Boy
Lana Del Ray’s headline show at Latitude seems to have gone down like a cup of cold sick - and that’s with a sizeable proportion of the crowd there specifically for her, on day tickets. Her subbing the Pyramid sounds like a disaster waiting to happen, surely put her on West Holts or something instead Edited July 23, 2019 by Rose-Colored Boy

I don’t think she’s really suited to mass gigs as she tends to confuse those waiting for a festival anthem.

Although, I know the Libertines have fallen but surely not THAT far? Also, I think Jamie xx is always overestimated a little in predictions here, can't see him headlining the Other. West Holts headline absolute highest imo, I think even that is pushing it.

Orbital for my Friday night dancing, Toots and Jimmy Cliff on a sunny Saturday afternoon, and Sunday just bangs. I can put to rest the ghosts of missing PSB in 2010 in the knowledge that I've seen Blur as good as they'll ever be in '09. Take a bow. balti-pie
Blur or RTJ? Not happy with that! Saturday has no headliner for me, so if you can put something suitably good on at the Truth stage that’d be great ta. Gloryhammer if possible! They’d make an excellent JP headliner.

Also if Noel Gallagher really must play then surely get him warming up for Blur, for old times’ sake.

Round about the same size band now I'd guess.

priest17
Great shout Libertines opening Other. If they don't want to admit how much their stock has fallen they can console themselves by saying they opened the festival on its 50th anniversary. Be great if you could get them in a tent, still a bit big for that I guess.

wro_lap
I’d quite fancy Franz Ferdinand to open the OS. They’ve done the rounds of smaller festivals lately, and have been around Europe a bit - think it’d make sense for them to return. Appeal to a similar audience to the likes of The Vaccines, Kaiser Chiefs etc who’ve done that slot in past.
