They were a bit fucked over in 2017, clashing with both Chic and The Killers, hopefully on this album tour balance will be restored :)

Missed them in 2017 as wasn't there but if I were I know I'd likely have opted for Chic, always had great times at their sets. Hoping the next album will go down great, Days Are Gone I loved and Something To Tell You was decent for me. Looking forward to a tour to whet my appetite. Gotta be there in 2020.

JP headliners pls

That guy in the 5G thread is gonna blow his top.

JP headliners might be a bit low for them. They sold two Ally Pallys out on the day last year.

Out of interest, why do people reckon Lana is gonna do it? If the rumour is true that she was booked for this year and pulled out, plus all the medical issues she's having, I don't see why she would be back again next year.

As Kingcrawler says, she hasn’t actually got her album out yet so I can’t imagine all her festivals for this album to come before the album is out and then nothing after. And if we know they want her in a big slot then we know they’d go for her again, right?

I think Snow Patrol will be keen to appear again after having to pull out at the last second. JP headliner would be a great slot for them.

I actually had them in mine but acts never do seem to come back the year after they cancel so I swapped in Ben Howard. They’ve already been on the road since before Mad Cool last year, haven’t they?

I realise that Sam Fender is listed in mine but he’d have been playing back-to-back fests anyway.

Ben Howard headlining the Park would be cool. Preferably against a meat and potatoes Pyramid headliner, so the atmosphere isn’t dragged down by normies expecting him to play Every Kingdom in full despite him having spent half a decade pretending that album never happened.

I like Ben Howard on record but for a long time he was the most disappointing act I'd seen at Glasto (he has Lauryn Hill to thank for now being 2nd). 2015 - he didn't seem to care for being there, didn't put any energy in, nor did he want to engage with the crowd in any way. Is he always like that? It's put me off seeing him again.

Oh and to make matters worse, I missed Todd Terje for him and that set looked brilliant when I watched it the week after.

Yep, that’s what you usually get from him these days - a mixture of Dylan’s refusal to play the hits and Interpol’s total disinterest in smiling. Probably why he wasn’t booked this year  The tunes still sound great though

Was at Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever last night and reckon Glastonbury missed a huge trick not booking them for this year considering they're in Europe anyway. Really hope they're at the farm next year, could imagine them doing a mid-afternoon JP slot or maybe somewhere on the Park.

Thanks for new name, French Press would be great in the Park, sun shining, cold cider in hand

I was wondering if there's any precedent of cancelling acts returning the following year, but it's probably so circumstantial it isn't worth thinking too hard about.

Their Wildness tour has felt long, but it's not like they really need new music as an excuse to tour. I read this week that Chasing Cars was the most played tune on radio this century, or something. They've got a crowd pleasing 75 minutes in them any day.

PYRAMID: Frank Ocean

Absolutely never happening. Frank headliner or nothing but will cancel anyway Ocean won’t be booked.

I wish Frank had a different outlook to his own career because he could have become the GOAT. But he blew it.

How was the crowd? Saw them in Brighton and they were awesome but crowd was like a mortuary. Put it down to the crowd as the band were shit hot, but be interested to know how this one went.

Pretty much the same, but I was expecting that anyway and it didn't really bother me. Was the same in Nottingham last year if I remember rightly.

Radio 2 was on at work this morning, and Mel B was a guest, the first thing she mentioned when asked about future Spice Girls gigs was Glastonbury.

Zoe Ball commented that it would be the busiest ever.

Sounded to me like it was already a done deal.

in respect to what ? headliner ? sunday slot ? or novelty Avalon ? :)
