The Prodigy this year as I'd have chosen them over The Cure or Janelle. But in light of that Glasto 2009, I didn't go as there was a family holiday planned which didn't happen due to other circumstances and by then it was just too late.

They were supposed to be Saturday originally I think.

In 24 years the only thing I can think of is watching Leftfield in the crappy Dance Village instead of going to  Public Service Broadcasting in The Glade.

There's a moral to this: being one of those derided people who makes a big list and then follows it can pay off in the long run.

I can’t believe no-one else has said this one; Slash in 2010 which I missed for the fucking football.  Worst decision ever.

oh dear, I must say there was no way I'd miss Slash for football myself as huge GnRs fan - he was superb!!

Followed by Ray Davies who was also fantastic. My husband and friends went to the football. I remember him texting me the score just as Ray was starting and me replying just come see Ray which they did. He was way better.

Two big stand outs for me from reading this forum is Blur 09 and Stones in 13. Both before I first attended but give me heartache at how good those sets were. You can tell they were special even on the beeb especially after later experiencing that LCD set. That's when I finally understood a Glastonbury moment.

Imogen Heap 2010.

I’d discovered her about 6 months before but hadn’t fully clocked quite how good she was.

This was a burner year. I was camped in Williams and at least one day slept under an SL articulated truck just to be out of the heat.

That afternoon - I later find from the Beeb highlights -  Imogen nailed it on the other stage.

Had the audience in complete worshipping silence. They finally broke cover to cheer her hitting a crazy high note. There’s a flash of a girl on the rail crying.

For me, oh oh oh.

Apart from choosing flying lotus over the chems in 2015, I think my most regretful missed set was the run of the cinematic orchestra -> moderat -> justice on west holts in 2017.

I ended up getting carried away at chic and decided that I valued being with the group more than getting across to WH.

I  enjoyed Ed's set more than I thought I would though,  which I told him when I bumped into him at the toilets in shangri la at 4 in the morning but it's still one of my biggest set regrets.

Of the years that I've been to, only Nick Cave in 2013 strikes me as the one that I made a poor choice. I had seen him before, and seen him since, but I didn't want to turn down the chance to see Evan Dando do solo material. For some reason I love Baby I'm Bored and ended up missing one of the all time great NCATBS sets.

Too many “why didn’t I get off my arse” sets to mention over the years yet - despite seeing Radiohead in 97, 03 and 17, special mention goes to 2010 when I got a voicemail from a mate - I heard the time which was just a few minutes after now - saying “GET TO THE PARK!!! THOM AND JONNY GREENWOOD ARE THE SECRET SET, THEY’VE JUST GOT ON STAGE!!!”

Whereever I was, it wasn’t close, and it was baking hot that year, but I sprinted up that hill through the crowds to the Park Stage, practically dying by the time I got there .... and some other band were on stage. Confused. Dave knows how I into them I am, he wouldn’t mess me around.

I listened again to the voicemail - it had been left 24 hours ago and had only just come through ?????
