Fizzpop
Hiya, looking for advice for anyone who might have weathered this before. My partner has a hurt foot and is currently sporting an orthopaedic boot. It will be making the trip to Glasto with us. I reckon we'll be able to get around generally, taking our time and what not, as the foot will be much more healed by then but I need an all weather solution. Your socks stick out of those things and while the base is rubber there is lots of neoprene etc. so if it gets wet / muddy it will be a pain. I thought about putting a plastic bag up around it but if anyone has a better hack I'd appreciate it. Digi
Weird question but I work in trauma and orthopaedics. Do you know the make of it? You can buy pretty sturdy covers for them but what fits depends on what make it is. If you know the make I'll try and find you a link for what we recommend patients to buy. I'd try and resist the bin bag method and only use as a very last resort. They break down really quickly and are ridiculously slippy in mud. Sure fire way for him to wind up on his arse
Digi
Ihttps://www.healthandcare.co.uk/aircast-range/01WXS_XL.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjwi43oBRDBARIsAExSRQEpHLMPEUN-DrolV5b25rH9Co7ESSCvZb0avageDT2LzmhHFyl7BM8aApeIEALw_wcB If it's the same as the pic you posted then this should fit as it's an Aircast. It doesn't cover the boot completely. The very bottom will be left exposed which is what you want really to benefit from the tread still Edited June 14, 2019 by Digi

I need something to go over the toe though in case of mud / wet ground. I take your point about bin bag solution, tbh I already thought it was a bad idea. I didn't know there were actual covers available. I'll have a dig around online and see if I can find one with a covered toe.
