oh, c'mon - they would be putting their own lives at risk.
(and some people might even say that was a great thing ;) )

No one would be there who didn't want to take that risk. It's not a big deal, if it even happens.

They are not thought really if the reports are correct. Younger people are showing much milder symptoms but at the same time are extremely infectious (3 times the rate of normal flu) So after leaving the large gathering of people its where they go and who they infect in the couple of weeks that follow it when they may only develop a stuffy nose. They need to think they may come into contact with older people or ones with underlying health problems who are being killed in much larger numbers.

it's about the same risk as going to the supermarket (possibly less as it's outdoors).

The only meaningful difference would be that it would be one-extra opportunity for the virus to be passed on, because it's one extra incidence of people-contact for the people who go - but in a world where loads of contacts would still be going on (work, shopping, home contacts [who have different outside contacts], etc) it's not that big a deal.

We’ve waited 30 years to win the Premier League. As far as I’m concerned I could be watching Henderson lifting the trophy in his living room whilst self isolating and I’ll still celebrate just as much.

Maybe that's plan C if closed door isn't permitted.

Arsenal say players are self-isolating at home

A statement from Arsenal, released at 00:47 GMT this morning, said the following...

"Following yesterday's news that Olympiacos owner Evangelos Marinakis has recently contracted Covid-19, we have been taking medical advice and tracing any individuals who had what the guidelines define as close contact with him at the game 13 days ago.

"As a result of this exercise we identified that a number of players met the Olympiacos owner immediately following the game.

"The medical advice we have received puts the risk of them developing Covid-19 at extremely low. However, we are strictly following the Government guidelines which recommend that anyone coming into close contact with someone with the virus should self-isolate at home for 14 days from the last time they had contact.

"The players will remain at their homes until the 14-day period expires. Four Arsenal staff - who were sitting close to Mr Marinakis during the match - will also remain at home until the 14 days are complete."

Hypothetical....

The Prem is cancelled tomorrow because of coronavirus. What happens? Do Liverpool get the title? Who gets relegated?

You would imagine no relegation, compensation to those in the championship and down the pyramid.

Last weekend of crowds this weekend?

We should probably get used to it but it’s so weird watching a game with no fans isn’t it?

Oh its crap yeah but seems it'll be the way for a few months now. Theyll have to make a call on the Euros in the next couple of weeks.

Likely you would think. Clubs want the Euros cancelled to finish the leagues.

It's a really difficult one, isn't it? There's no real satisfactory answer. :(

For Liverpool at the top, that's maybe a little easier. I'd definitely feel different if the gap was only 5 points and maybe if 10 points, but with the margin they have I reckon it would be churlish for any Prem team to object to them being awarded the title.

Can they even play games? Arsenal players in isolation for 2 weeks, so no Arsenal games potentially until April.

no, that's not correct.

The 14 days isolation is over on Friday - cos that'll have been 14 days since contact with the guy who has it - and providing they're clear on Friday things are back to normal.

So it's only 14 days since contact, rather than 14 days in isolation?

You couldn’t not award Liverpool the title considering how far ahead they are.

Make the bottom six play one off games - 15th v 20th, 16th v 19th, 17th v 18th - three losers go down. You could do the same for the CL places.

Top two the Champ go up automatically (no bias guv), playoffs as normal when possible.
