5g concerns.

as people naturally looked the frequency and realised it was the same as your microwave

You are vastly vastly overestimating most people's knowledge and understanding of science.

The last really hysterical person I talked to was convinced the wavelengths of 5G were so small they would rearrange our DNA at a molecular level, and that there were countless videos of animals going crazy and dying because of it where they'd tested it but this was all being kept shush shush for profit. Because killing everyone quickly is profitable somehow?

It is precisely anti-vax all over again and it's purpose is to convince everyone they've been lied to and that there's a huge conspiracy really running the world because it dehinges them from reality and turns them against real honest sources of information so that they can be more easily manipulated.

Lets give it to the NHS instead.

As a tweet I saw said:

Modern people as kids: Why do I have to do science and math? I'll never use this in real life
Modern people: Vaccines cause autism, the world is flat and 5g is the devil

actually, there's more truth to that than you're crediting him for.

The wavelengths that 5g uses are of a micro-frequency that can alter animal cell structures.

But that's only been achieved by giving constant exposure and with a hugely-greater power than anything that the 5g system uses.

A loud enough sound can alter cell structures pretty badly too though. A powerful enough radio signal will cook you. Bright enough light will ablate your skin directly.

It's still not "rearranging your DNA on a molecular level" - purely claimed because it screams cancer and mutations - no sense, science or logic other than that of creating fear, uncertainty and doubt.

Funny story - week before last had to go up to Aberdeen on business. Went on the overnight sleeper train from Euston.  They have a terrific old style lounge bar with seats/tables. As the train was moving around 80mph the phone signal was crap. You know what, people put them away and started chatting, socialising and making new friends.  It was one of the best evenings I'd had in years chatting to people about what they do, families, life in general.  I'm all for a festival that has a complete blanket ban on internet services, hell phones completely. Let people socialise, let people watch bands rather than video them.  Lets go back to go forward ;)

As a Londoner this is my worst nightmare. Speak to strangers? On public transport?

What are your credentials for offering advice on the subject?

I just receive the messages.  I hover my hands over the keyboard and my fingers type what I'm sent.  I'm merely a conduit for The Truth.

You can choose not to heed the advice, or you can wake up.

I know right?  - admittedly the amount of booze flowing certainly helped matters.  The Caledonian Sleeper should be on everyones bucket list, its quite the experience.

Sadly this is where the misinformation spreads. As I say Im on the fence with it all, but had been told it wasn't 'live' until July, and Glasto was a trial venue.

For what its worth, Im actually trading at the festival and have had two members of staff pull out this morning after attending 5G talks.

wow Really, are they going to wrap themselves in tin foil for the rest of their lives ?

I'm at a open evening the Wednesday after Glasto at a company who are responsible for many of the live trials going on in the UK, and for rolling out the platform going forwards. Ill raise your concerns with them for you.

Seriously some folk need to get off Facebook and get out more.

On another note head over to the resale thread, I'm sure you will find lots of volunteers in there desperate to get to the festival who will "take the risk"

Im actually in shock that anyone could relinquish a ticket for a reason with no substance whatsoever.

Unless of course they are just not telling you the truth, and cant be aR%ed to actually work !

You have now qualified for a free stall holder ticket for the Healing Fields

Um, maybe just maybe

1. They either have tickets for the festival now and don't like to say

2. Your not a very nice boss and they couldn't bring themselves to tell you

Have a look in the resale thread if you need replacement staff.

Some of the 5G allocation is on the same band as 4G - wouldn't be surprised if that was whats being used for the festival. 4G with extra bandwidth hyped up for the festival and EE's purposes.

Non ionising radio waves are not going to hurt you unless its seriously high power and you're stood up the mast*

If anyone think 5 days exposure is somehow going to kill you then they need a good slap.  A lot of the anti 5G slant has come directly from Russia if you read up about it.

*Qualification to know about what I'm talking about - BEng(Hons) Electronic & Comms Engineering.

Hmm, but on the other hand someone here who's spent a couple of hours watching youtube videos says I should be worried ?  /s

think of a conspiracy theory, and in today's world there's shit loads of buyers. ;)

The thing that makes me laugh the most about the 5g stuff going around is the people saying there's been almost no research - when the truth is there's not many things which have had as much research as radio waves.

Is it because the Chinese are so heavily involved? I keep seeing a lot about Huawei and 5g, so just assumed all the ridiculous scaremongering was because a company in the east is going to profit from it
