I think we can rule out Deftones, they are playing Graspop even though I would love it. I know there's the Faith No More exception but I don't think Deftones will also play both fests. RATM looks unlikely too, I think they would have played at least one metal festival such as Hellfest or Download. I think smaller bands such as Big Thief and Perfume Genius are also contenders. Can't wait for next week !

Yeah, but then one band would probably end up in The Barn during Pearl Jam ;/

I'd hope the organisers weren't that stupid, those three together would be quite an incredible line up! To those who like that sort of music obviously, but I travelled to RW in 2018 just for PJ and I'm sure there are others as mad as I am.

I remember seeing placebo/foo fighters/RHCP at V in 2001. Still one of the best single nights I've had at a festival 😁

I know it‘s been said RATM won‘t come to Europe in 2020. They‘d be at Download, Hellfest, etc.

But what if they come over for a very short run of exclusive shows? BST Hyde Park, Werchter, Mad Cool?

I still can‘t believe they skip the big money.

10 years since the famous Finsbury Park date means I'd be pretty stoked for a UK date, but given all the hubbub and mayhem that is likely to play out before November's US election, I can imagine that's gonna be their priority. Shame.

They were taht stupid in 2014 when Pixies played in The Barn exactly during Pearl Jam set

In 2014, Pixies wouldn't take anything less than headlining a stage. Timetables took extremely long to be released (somewhere in May, while full line up and stage splits had been known since March), presumably because RW tried to change their minds.

The setting of the Barn resulted in an excellent Pixies show though (whereas they can be a bit hit or miss). I want to see them again wherever they play, but I think another Barn show will be much more memorable than a main stage show. (Still love this band, mind)

Announcement was actually on December 11. Was just a reminder of that lineup addition two days ago...

oh right, thanks. I just saw it on top of their twitter. I optimistically took it as confirmation that we're entering a week of announcements

I made that mistake a few times with NOS Alive's tweets, so I'm a little keener now on checking if it's new additions or not... :)

Still hope we'll get fresh new names for RW this week though!
