The State Of The Ground.

Small contribution to thank you all for this fabulously heartwarming thread:

been on site since 4pm, ground on arrival was soft (damp arse if you sit for a while gazing at the pyramid) and some sticky / sloppy bits in high traffic areas but generally very good.

we had some rain for a time at midnight-ish, enough to make me take cover, and it’s made some areas (particularly south east corner) a bit sloppy but it’s now warm with a nice light breeze so should dry up soon!

I was in walking boots and the guys I was with were both in trainers and apart from some of the trackways being a bit sloppy with light surface mud we managed just fine.

Gut feeling? Vintage year!

See you all tomorrow ?

How's it looking after the surprise rain last night?

Obviously im not through the gates but it's fine in the campervan field. If we'd not had that rain on Monday night it'd be perfect. Temperature is mild, plenty of cloud cover. Nice breeze.

Daily Fail can do one. This is the croosroads at the entrance to The Park now. Not quite the mud fest the last photo makes out.

the more the DM tells the masses that it's muddy, the better IMO, less precious luvvlies wanting to get tickets to see 3 acts at the Pyramid, the better!

Anyone who worries that the clientele of the  festival are getting too old should see our coach. The age gap between us and the others is sufficient that we look like supply teachers on a trip.

Journey just started and excitement levels are at fever pitch.

We should all pour loads of water on isolated patches of ground by our tents and spread the pictures all over Twitter.

I think I must be the oldest on my coach by about 30+ years. Everybody's in great spirits.

Ha - same on my coach! Glad it’s not just me who is very much feeling like the de facto “Responsible Adult” right now!

In E15. Campervan level, awning pitched, beer open, brew, well, brewing. No mud. Tent pegs go in with sturdy foot. It's awesome. Welcome home everyone and here's to an amazing festival. Love to all!
