So I put my tent up a couple of hours ago. Very dry but ground was easy enough to push the tent pegs in by hand.

Grass is cut and being collected by the land owners.

Its looking great there!

Sorry for the lack of a ground report last night.

Enduring a series of hiccups and hitches so we ended up not making it there. Will post as soon as I can.

But hey, I'm certain that the next update will be even more positive than if I had posted one last night given the wonderful weather here in Somerset.

No apologies required, your contributions are highly valued and we'll take what we are given. Thanks for the updates so far

good morning peeps

Just back after restocking the fruit bowl. Blimey it’s like the M25 outside today. The security have arrived and shut off the village. Coffee has been supplied to our boys outside the house. Gotta keep them hydrated in this warm weather. Might even buy them ice creams later.

today’s update is:

RAM jam jar = 25mm. That’s a reduction of 5mm in 24hours.

Gherkin = empty

well Sticky stick = well is well dry. Almost Sahara like. I’m in danger of snapping the sacred stick. It will still go into the base but only an inch maybe.

Big Dog’s paws= This piece of ground detection equipment will be deployed later today with Pilton Digger. He will report back then.

I'm enjoying this so much. I don't even care if it's related to the festival for most of the year. This should surely replace the local weather after the news?

In and out today to set up tent ready for first shift on Tuesday am. Blisteringly hot. Tent pegs went in without a mallet in the far SW of the site. Didn't wander about much due to having small person in tow. Site looking beautiful. Ground currently perfect. Still not liking the forecast though. Still feels like there is all to play for!

Frighteningly that was precisely the word that came into my mind as soon as I saw the pic.

We're  on some kind of psychic level dude...

Or both with the same juvenile sense of humour. Looking forward to seeing you next week pal! ?

Very quiet in here for 3 days out. Beautiful day in sunny belfast

It's essentially good ground, but weather is now key. It's sort of a battle of threads, weather thread winning when ground is good and nothing to talk about but potential impending doom, this thread winning when weather is already kack and we need to know how bad it is.
