Neither. We moved here because at the time it was equal distance to both our work places, and we found a wreck we could afford. Festival is a a rather nice bonus.

Ahh :)

just wondered really, suppose it’s great not having to camp in the really muddy years!

Maybe a bit late to the party with this, but getting major 2016 flashbacks with the pictures of Download  this year:

Fingers crossed they don’t hog all the metal pathways this time.

I'm off there tomorrow - as I was in 2016 - it's apparently as bad as then according to reports.

Glastonbury will be fine, way better drainage  - and they also seem to have doubled up on the tracking!

Just found these photos from 2005 - the Friday after the flash flooding. Love the lonely guy with his pint of Brothers ? By Sunday it was boiling hot and you could sit on the ground. Amazing really.

Even the conditions in those pics can’t stop them making me excited! ?

The sun is out now and it’s warm. Got a proper sweat on during my run. Not many puddles to dodge either. The tidal wave at the side of the house has now disappeared, as if it never existed.

how many upvotes for you getting a sweat on then ? :)

I’m sorry to report......although the sun is out........the well is no longer dry?

We have well water

we have 3 inches of fresh Glastonbury well water

How many inches did you have before 2016....? It was overflowing wasn't it? Which begs the question, how deep is the well?!

the well fills from a conduit system that runs through the village at this end.  The well is fed by pipes under next door that run to the well and then the pipes run round the back of the house, under the road and down the hill via other tanks / wells.  Ours fills and drains with rainfall, it will be gone in a couple of hours I would expect.  It is not ground water levels so no need to declare the apocalypse yet. when I get round to dragging out some of the crap in it, we will have more reliable water levels. That would be after I get on the bloody roof to try (again) to stop it leaking in the same place again. I feckin hate getting on old roofs.

2016 it came up much higher.
