Brian Wilson in 05 was the first gig that ever made my cry, so I always just go with that as #1.

Not sure i can really pick the bones out of the rest of it as the more current stuff naturally jumps to the front of the queue (though I am prepared to accept that the Boo Radleys in 95 probably weren't all that).

Ha same here ?

God this is hard, and I've only been going since 2010.

Stones 2013 - life affirming

Anti-flag 2014 - mental

Metallica 2014 - just overjoyed for the metal

Billy Bragg 2016 - cathartic

Coldplay 2011 - I know, right?

It really was. I'm still surprised to this day, just on the cusp before they went properly shit. The atmosphere was amazing and after the drowning of U2 the night before, it just somehow took off. I mean, this happened...P1000791.thumb.JPG.b0c6961cc56a0d5c5b51a2c308f41c9b.JPG

Nice to see Radiohead from last time not getting lost in the fog of war. A singular sensation filled night of jaw dropping ohmygoodness on Worthy Farm.

I've rewatched that performance so many times. I can pretty much recite his speech about laylines word for word.

Trying to work out where we were... Elbow and a mooch. Think we saw a bit of Chems and the end of Big Boi. Hardly vintage. But after surviving the polar vortex the previous night I was happy to be alive. Coldplay would have been death.

I don't blame you for avoiding it at all, I was undecided myself but stocked up on wine, got in amongst it and had an absolute blast.

Macca. Blur 09.

These are at another level. The best gigs I’ve ever seen anywhere. Ticked every box that live music can tick. Moved me to my marrow also. Tender. Blackbird. Helter Skelter. This Is A Low.

Stevie. Neil.

These two maestros *nailed* their (hopefully) only appearances at the festival. Did everything about them that they do well, well, on the biggest stage on the planet. Two swagger-filled triumphs. They dominated.

Radiohead 17.

Simply the most beguiling psychedelic show I’ve ever seen.

Yeah that Anti-Flag set in the Left field was brilliant, especially when Billy Bragg came on and they played an encore of three Clash covers.Awesome.
