Has Kidzfield moved? Or did I just never know where it was!

Would be pretty hard to move, the fort is a permanent build at the top of the field, great fun if you take the kids for a bimble round the site when the festival isn't on!

I guess I just didn’t know where it was. Is there a second Kids area on the left hand side of the train track if you’re walking towards the SE corner?? I’m sure that’s a thing as well.

I think there's a Greenpeace Kids area, you're probably thinking of that.

Which has it's own ship too, just to add to the confusion! As a non-parent you only really see it in moments through the trees as you go along the train tracks. Took me ages to work out where it was as I never went past the skate ramp in the Greenpeace field.

The shuffling of the Park is interesting and probably for the better.

Bumped because the thread got linked from another.

When can we expect to se this year's map? Going off previous years it will be sometime around early June.

More importantly, following on from a conversation at the weekend with @Losing my hair, @crazyfool1 and the VM crew...

Keep this thread going, we may all need the crew map for when we collectively try to sneak in now that secret sales seem to be a no show

My initial instincts were that if I were to sneak in I'd approach from the south, skirt round WV and try and bunk in somewhere near the Piano Bar. However, looking at the map further up the thread there are quite a lot of observation towers on the perimeter in the south. In terms of getting over the fence, coming from the village looks a better bet, but then you have to navigate a lot of traffic control to get nearby...

So the north is difficult to approach from because of restrictions in the village, the west has lots of car parking and infrastructure before reaching the fence and staff compounds inside, the east side is similar to the west in terms of obstacles outside the fence and the south is somewhat blocked by WV. I reckon there are a few points which are more easily accessible around the bottom corners of the site.

Perhaps bunking over into Strummerville would be a goer - lots of woodland there to hide amongst.  The most open spot I think I've spotted is around Shangri La, coming off Cockmill Lane.

Anyway - what would your bunking in strategy be?

Probably not one that I’d post on a public forum 😂

I am very glad that I am not the only person who considered this!

I have a ticket but still gave it some thought, as clearly have the festival.

Any area that looks like it might be a good spot is either staff camping, a production area or backs onto car parking, so you'd end up going through extra sets of security and increase you're likely hood to be caught.

I'd considered strummerville like you but there's a second fence before you get there for worthy view at the spot that could work.

In short getting over the fence seems so hard it's not worth it.

Edit: oh and the festival have also clocked that these sort of maps get out so the 2019 version doesn't have observation towers on it, unlike past versions posted here.

It is entirely possible … to go over the fence … I know someone that’s done it and that involved a moped going through some of the stewards … hiding in some trees and cutting a branch off a tree and using that to lean up against the fence at night as the land rovers patrol the perimeter … no much chance for me I’d likely fuck my back up or loose my hat in the process
