Bath and West CV Gate Question

So managed to bag an old friend a glasto ticket and a campervan ticket on resale, wanted West but had to settle for Bath and West.. I have a question regarding getting into the actual festival site wednesday morning.

Last fest me and a friend travelled to Glastonbury with my friend in her CV and queued up at the significantly smaller entry queue from west CV to enter the festival site nice and quickly and set up our tents in our favourite spot with far less stress.

We would like to do the same (travel up to site with our friends CV Tuesday), what is the situation with entering the festival site from Bath and West CV Wednesday morning? Do we have to join the usual gate queues or is there a way we can do something similar to 2015 and enter via a CV gate?

Thanks.

There is a shuttle bus from Bath and West (it operates non stop from Wednesday at 12:01am) this will drop you off at Gate A where you will join the coach queue, the length of the queue will depend on the amount of coaches arriving and what time you decide to get there, probably the earlier the better. I think there is a separate queue for people arriving at Gate A by car, could someone correct me if that's not the case.

It won't be anywhere near as quiet as the entry in West campervan fields. :)

Anyone know what time that queue starts getting busy? Is Gate A a standard car park gate too? Always used gate D and camped Paines Ground.

Gate A has two entry points. One from the car park, and one from the coach station.  The coach entrance gets “priority” based on anecdotal evidence but can still be hefty.

cant offer guidance on times though I’m afraid. I guess it depends where you want to camp as to how early you want to go.

Great, thanks for the info.

So I could grab a shuttle from B&W CV to Gate A Coach queue at 4-6am wesnesday morning no problem? These early wed shuttles definitely run?

Final question.. Do the shuttles continue to run Monday morning as our friend leaves Monday afternoon but we will need to get from Paines Ground to her CV Monday morning.

Yup to question1.

yup to question 2 - but there are a hell of a lot of folk leaving Monday morning. If she’s on a tight deadline to leave it might be worth an early get up.

Enjoy
