Train or coach back to London?

The coach prices from the festival to London are, in a word, outrageous. I'm just looking at the train prices and, with a railcard, can get one for £15.

How much of a ballache will the train on the Monday be? Cost-wise, it's a no-brainer, but I'm all for the easiest journey home after 5 days of partying.

Cheers!

Depends where you want to get to in London! Coach directly from site to various places or bus to station, train to Paddington and then transport to wherever.

Did the coach from Victoria one year. Fine on the way in as straight to the bus station on site, but getting home was a disaster. 2007 - weather was awful, queues for coaches to London were an utter shambles and was a struggle to get a black cab from Victoria to home.

Also wondering this! In the panic of Thursday's resale we've ended up with 5am mon morning return coach tix to London...it is unlikely we will make them!

How long does it usually take to schlep to CC station on the shuttle buses at around 3pm on Monday? (We usually drive!)

I've never done it myself but by all accounts on Monday morning for London coaches they are not interested what time you have a ticket for, you just queue up and get on. So not  making 5am unlikely to be an issue. Not sure how late they run though.

Traffic should be moving fine by mid-afternoon so no more than half an hour?

Music to my ears! Worth a try at least. Thank you!

Is the same true of other destinations?  I am waiting with trepidation to be told my coach times and am dreading it being mega early on Monday morning!
