Right, when I'm even buying something as trivial as a tent, I put a lot of research into it, check out reviews, make sure I can afford it, look for the best deal then agonise over my decision for weeks. It drives me berserk when friends suddenly announce they're having a baby having clearly not put anything but a half arsed thought into it! ?

When me and Mr Balls were talking in 2017 about trying to have our first baby during the fallow year, we actually said we would stop trying for a month mid October to mid November because even though it was a fallow year we didn’t want to risk having a baby due over the summer solstice as it would potentially mean having to chose between Glasto and our child’s birthday every year. You have GOT to think about these things!

I’m in a similar situation, managed to get married and buy a house in the fallow year. 

My wife no longer goes to Glastonbury so when trying to complete the hat trick I couldn’t really say ‘can we hold off for a bit I want to go to Glastonbury next June’.

But by some amazing twist of fate or more   Mrs Divein not knowing how her body works there was enough of a delay to put me well in the clear of us having a new arrival around Glastonbury. 

The only downside is there’s actually two new mini-diveins due in September. ?

This is quite encouraging - there will be a fair few punters in this position  - I think it's happened with some of my kids' friends this year, and a couple of years back it happened to a friend I'd got the ticket for in the first sale (we got him one again in the resale mind).

And I'll bet they won't be coming on here to tell us about it (or meant to, and forgot), so this all helps skew the odds in favour of the total of returns being higher even than the 13% we seem to be seeing so far ☺️

Oh wow, that’s amazing news!! Two at once, very efficient!! Congratulations!! 

We ended up not having to worry either as I discovered I was already expecting our little one three days after we got home from Glasto 2017 (ooops), so he arrived in March last year!
