The All Round Ball :|
Pretty sure Kaiser chiefs have just announced they are at IOW. They posted a tweet saying We’ve got another festival announcement tomorrow ? The first time we played that one this was the setlist... ? https://t.co/GcCsUkJxc7 I really hope they are not a fucking headliner. That would be so so dead. They cant even Headline victorious on the Friday night. If they headline then IOW is dead. I reckon a thursday night or a big top headliner would be completely fine but not main stage headliner. I like them dont get me wrong but not to headline IoW fest.

Quite diverse, maybe some are a little long in the tooth, but guaranteed entertainment supporting hopefully major headliners! Is this an announcement? guessing not but its quite a weird mix of names and your wording makes it sound like it is?

Brilliant start, I cannot wait for the three expensive and contemporary, talented musical artists they have booked.

Nah - just what I'd like to see appear supporting, say, Foos, Pearl Jam, RHCP, Radiohead, or perhaps Snow Patrol... Looked at the V lineup as it really started to go downhill.... Beyonce and Bieber... Edited December 3, 2019 by galbani

BJCrees
I'm happy to see this line-up, but this has confirmed it. Isle of Wight festival is now a mid-scale event.

DDave
I actually don't think it's that bad, just very, very stale. Edited December 3, 2019 by DDave
DDave
Gone down well on their Facebook page, although this lot moaned their nuts off at Arcade Fire so that tells you a lot.
maelzoid
So, this has now become an 80s throwback festival? Sadly, I think it will be gone within 3 years.
RockNRollStar97
In my opinion apart from the odd recycled bands, next year's line up is damn awful, I expected it to be bad but not this low. The last year I went for the full weekend was the year Pearl Jam, Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen headlined comparing then to now you seriously wonder what John Giddings is smoking, If Reading or Download was much closer to the iow festival I would 100%ly go to them but it's just so much effort no matter how brilliant their line ups are. This might sound ridiculous but I'm in despair with how the iow festival is now. I'll just have to see what the Victorious Festival have to offer next year

DanWhite
Suffice to say I won't be rushing to the IOW Website on Friday AM. Will wait to see what Y Not, Tramlines and Kendal Calling have to offer.
Henrik
John Giddings on the local radio station this morning: "People are really going to have to act fast if they want to secure tickets before this sells out" Dude's got me in stitches. maelzoid
As was the case with last year's line-up, this is nearly all British - Lionel is the only act from abroad as far as I know. Is this the Brexit effect?
