Do some bands put a random Glastonbury date on their posters if they haven't got the actual dat finalised? I'd love for this to be the case but not sure I've seen examples of this in the past

Normally Glastonbury dates are confirmed well in advanced. I doubt they'd put it on the poster for the Saturday. Most smaller bands put the Wednesday or the Friday.
