Matt42
Pearl Jam community forum speculating that they are doing Lolla Stockholm on Glasto Sunday and a ???? date on the 26th (Glasto Friday). Not sure who here is the best placed source but they are struggling to think where Pearl Jam are playing in the UK this summer. There were rumours that the only date Pearl Jam are playing in the UK is in July. Some have mentioned BST. https://community.pearljam.com/discussion/268658/2020-tour-rumor-thread/p208 The info that they are playing a show on the 26th of June is weird though. They all seem to be in agreement that one is happening. I don’t think it will be Pearl Jam but they do fit Emily’s criteria.
FloorFiller
Pearl Jam for the Friday rock slot.
Matt42
In my mind Kendrick, ????, Taylor are our headliners in that order - but info that Pearl Jam might be doing a UK date on Glasto Friday makes me think they have a decent shot at being Friday headliners and there is no Kendrick. I doubt they’d be the rock slot. I mean it would be fucking awesome though. I can’t see them doing a UK date that isn’t Glasto and then BST as well a few weeks later. I guess when the only thing people are using to suggest Kendrick is that Emily saw him last year, she also apparently saw Pearl Jam a few months later so might as well throw them in too. jparx
If Pearl Jam become a contender AND eliminate the Lolla threat for Taylor at the same time that would be an unreal result. Maybe Michael has pushed for them and it's just come together finally? Based off recent headliners it's hard to picture Pearl Jam headlining, but hell I'd be down. 3 minutes ago, dentalplan said: I guess when the only thing people are using to suggest Kendrick is that Emily saw him last year, she also apparently saw Pearl Jam a few months later so might as well throw them in too. Who would you speculate Dental? If you don't think it's Kendrick, who would you put your money on?

I’d obviously prefer Kendrick but you’re right Pearl Jam completely fit the bill too. They are creatures of habit as you’ve said before though - so for them to play a new festival this year might be rather odd. Stranger things have happened though and it’s not strong enough of a basis to rule them out at all. They are a band which absolutely need to headline though. I am really not so sure but just think it's worth pumping the brakes on the Kendrick chat now and then, if people are locking him in as a done deal despite very little other than our collective want putting him there. As said before, I think there will be two rock bands headlining alongside Taylor when June comes around and if one of them hasn't played before then it's not a big list. AC/DC seem suitable to me at the moment, now there are a few more murmurs that they're touring. 1 minute ago, Matt42 said: I’d obviously prefer Kendrick but you’re right Pearl Jam completely fit the bill too. If they haven't done it before I'm not sure why they'd do it now so I'm just as sceptical but I'd love to see it happen.

They're Pearl Jam obsessives and not Glastonbury obsessives, and would rather PJ didn't hit Glastonbury because it means a gig they likely can't go to so aren't thinking about it. Just like we're all about good music here and are ignoring the stench of Post Malone wafting over the horizon. True but you reckon they'd acknowledge the possibility like we do with things we dont want to happen. One person says London before Stockholm which probably is a guess at Glasto. If Eavis wanted an act for Michael as his last festival and the Mac said no, maybe they turned to PJ.

chazwwe
Saw Pearl Jam last year at Rock Wertcher, was a phenomenal gig and one of the older bands that actually sound better live than they do on record. Would love to see them on the Pyramid. Pearl Jam/Kendrick/Taylor There's no info on Kendrick let alone which day he's playing so he could do either Saturday or Friday if Taylor is on Sunday. As far as I can see one person has guessed they are playing 26th June! My reading of it is different to yours, however hope you are correct as they are a dream headliner for me.
