Macca couldnt of been booked in advance since he was booked for 2019 originally. Elton booked his tour early and finishes America two weeks prior to Glastonbury and resumes a few months after. He has to be the one. Coldplay, Elton John and Taylor Swift. Great balance, hardly other acts are around that could of been booked two years ago that are in the current frame.

I was thinking along the lines of him booked on the back of almost being booked for 2019 so all the leg work was done and just to postpone for a year.

Anyway I don't know anything haha

But I do know that I wasn't a big fan of Elton when he played bestival but the weather was terrible so didn't help.

Elton Vs McCartney

On a market like this the bookies will just offer odds based on what people are betting as they don't carry inside sources (or they wouldn't offer the market in the first place)

If we all collectively agree to bet big on Daft Punk we could probably get them from 25/1 to 3/1

Wouldn’t even need to bet big... these markets move on surprisingly little money staked

Kendricks odds have dropped massively, even The Boss' odds have come down to 8/1. He was around 20/1 last week.  Even a couple of bets (probably from some in here) can have an impact

Out of the loop on this though; Does Massive Attack headline the Other? Or do they get a Pyramid Sup slot?  .......or forget me, do they headline the Pyramid?

They’re a solid Other Stage headliner

I’ve got lots of contacts in the industry... sometimes somebody putting a tenner on can significantly shorten a price, depending on the market. It’s madness.

I worry how out of touch some people are on this forum with what is popular. Kendrick is huge wtf.

That Foals debate got a bit annoying yesterday, glad we can all come together to stand up for king fu Kenny.

Kendrick Lemar is the best headliner Glastonbury hasn't had yet and one of the few rumours that gets me genuinely excited for the big one.

(To be fair I think maybe Taylor Swift has a claim at that but doesn't really interest me on a personal level so someone else will have to stand up for her).

Massive Attack are one of the dullest acts I’ve ever seen live.

Really?  Due to Setlist? Or was it just boring?

Oh totally. But it doesn’t stop them repeatedly topping the Other Stage.

I worry that the kind of logic we see on here is the exact reason why there are so many more important things in the world to worry about.

Is it just me who has TPAB in third place? Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great record, but I always go for one of the others from the big three before that one.

Yes, it's just you.

Bestival about ten years ago, just could not get into it. Found the whole thing deathly dull.

Pretty much. I love Massive Attack but they just didn't particularly grab me as a live act when I have seen them.

Portishead in the other hand, 10/10. Absolutely captivating.

That's a shame i've always wanted to see them. Plus they don't let the beeb record their set either.

I reckon we get one of Elton/Macca, one of Taylor/Kendrick, one of Coldplay/Foals/1975/Arctics.

When RHCP start getting announced at European fests, that will be when members really cross battle lines to stand strong against a common enemy.

People are into different things - The demographic on the forum are not that into hip hop. I hadn't heard of Kendrick until a couple of years ago on reading this forum. I put on to pimp a butterfly and liked it.

A few of my mates saw the Leeds line up and asked who Kendrick was. In Britain  he has not broken through to the masses in the same way as someone like Kanye West, Jay-Z has, due to a lack of "danceable" (for want of a better term) hit singles, but he is big with the kids and a definite headliner, IF he was to play..
