indeed. they didn't smash it by any means, but it's funny reading the thread from that time and how many people thought it went well, compared to most now making out that it was some kind of trainwreck.

True, but some people will legitimately have changed their mind. That’s happened to me with festivals sets on a few occasions (Kasabian, Phoenix, ELO) where I enjoyed it through the haze at the time but when the dust settled, downgraded it significantly.

I didn’t see either but I remember a lot of people on here saying 2010 was a bit of a mess due to Matt being shitfaced, but then I enjoyed Jack White so can understand why that might’ve been enjoyable for some.

Haha, nah 2010 was great. I’ve seen him much more pissed as well.

I’m sure in the years leading up to 2017 they were always around though and weren’t booked. Probably be the same again this year, maybe they just like touring early summer.

just checked setlist.fm, 2013 and 2016 were the only years they could have done it really.

2010 - played Glastonbury touring High Violet

2011 - still touring HV so wouldn't be playing again.

2012 - not touring

2013 - fair enough, played the Roundhouse

2014 - no festival (played BST)

2015 - not touring

2016 - fair enough, headlined Latitude instead

2017 - played Glastonbury

FWIW - I don't think they'll play this year.

Looking at Noel’s most recent setlist has made me realise just how little I care for the Noel sung Oasis songs. All absolute fucking plodders.

I seen him at V subbing the Roses a few years ago. I quite enjoyed his version of Whatever. Went down a treat in the early evening. Only time I have ever seen him. Have seen Liam twice at Glastonbury but much prefered Noels set. Noels solo stuff is better than Liams.

I will probably be nowhere near the Pyramid on the Saturday but would have no reservations watching Noel if nothing else tickled my fancy.

He played Cardiff Castle last summer and Little By Little definitely went down well in “drunken singalong” terms.

Every time I hear it, I think of Lidl, and imagine they have offered him a fortune to license it. If he fell on hard times, I wonder if he'd do this rather than reform Oasis...?

For me, All Around The World is their nadir. A mediocre song that is pointlessly long (and then has a pointless reprise). And of course, thanks to a million buskers, I never feel the need to hear Wonderwall ever again. ever.

I enjoyed it, but their setlist decisions (namely the four song run of new material) was a mistake for the position they were in. And I know a lot of people have said that the crowd around them enjoyed it, but my experience was that it all kind of died on its arse, although to be fair considering they don’t have anything close to a ‘hit’ anyway, that probably would’ve happened regardless of setlist for a crowd waiting for Foo Fighters.

We saw them whilst waiting for the Foos and had, to be honest, only vaguely heard of them before, and absolutely loved it.  Went to see them at  All Points East and Leeds Arena on the back of seeing them there.  Probably helped that i had no idea whether they were playing new/old material!

I see your Little by Little and raise you More Than Words by Extreme.

Arguably a band with some of the best hair in the business between Gary Cherone and Nuno Bettencourt.

Pornograffiti got played a lot in our house :D

You've clearly never heard the incredible "Living by Lidl" by Glastoman... Hero of Kidney Mead.
