I don't get why people are riled up by anyone headlining (unless they have done it recently or loads - i.e. Coldplay).... or if they are just an internet troll

Id take Stereophonics on the Other stage tbf, more than a good alternative. 

The Courteeners can do one though, they seem to play every festival these days.

Very much neither. Think there is a lot of crossover in the fans here too, namely radio 1 listeners, and not much for the cool kids.

But happy for them to draw the radio 1/radio 2 axis and the xfm ’boon army’ lot away for an hour or two to let we cool kids in peace for a couple of hours provided there is some alternative - Sigur Ros headlining JP 2016 was a belter, would not object to the same again.
