Trolling is muppetry of the highest order and although I appreciate that Neil might not want to/be able to publish names, I personally would like to know as I'd rather not interact with them and stick with the genuine ones amongst this fine establishment

It’s worth noting that while Neil obviously knows more than the rest of us about what went on, he clearly doesn’t know everything if he thinks me and Phoenix Girl were involved. Would be good if we could all put it to bed and stop talking about it, Neil included.

(I have no proof either way that Phoenix Girl wasn’t but she doesn’t seem the type of poster)

The porn was posted at least twice in open on the forum thankfully it was swiftly deleted but not before my daughter saw it.

I'm firmly on Team Neil on this one and don't see he's done much wrong tbh. Running a site like this is hard work when it's all running smoothly so I can imagine it becomes a time consuming and demoralising job to deal with trolls, etc. I can see how some people might find his posts occasionally abrasive but I've always liked outspoken posters. I can't say I've ever had a bad interaction with him on here.

This site is part of my Glastonbury experience and it saddens me that people have abused it and by extension, Neil. 

FWIW, this site is an unrivalled resource and a great wide ranging forum. My camping group wouldn't exist without this site and I probably would have knocked Glastonbury on the head after 2013 until the solo campers thread in 2014 perked my interest.

I imagine this site makes little (if any) money for Neil after paying the running costs. He could very well one day decide enough is enough and shut it. I've no doubt there's information he can't share, some purely from a legal perspective. If he decides to hold his own counsel then thats fine with me and I'd trust his actions.

Hopefully this thread will quietly go dormant (although conscious that I'm keeping it active with a post).

Re: Noel and Fatboy. Hopefully Noel is the TBC to open the Other on Friday (though unlikely) and I've still never seen a Fatboy set at Glastonbury. I might correct that this year.

Three Glastonburys, and I believe two and a half Fatboy sets. And he never fails to deliver Although I think maybe the reason I love it is because he's one of the few acts that my entire crew are always up for. He's a rare find in that respect!

Nobody’s defending the trolls btw, this was just about Neil accusing Phoenix Girl of being involved (and then me too) when people believe she wasn’t.

I understand it must be difficult to stop the trolls, but going down a route of publicly accusing people based on no evidence isn’t the way to solve it.

I have what I believe is known as "Fatboy Syndrome" with 3 Daft Monkeys.  Even on the years I've decided not to go see them because I've seen them so many times, I still manage to blunder into one of their sets by mistake.  And then I stay and dance and enjoy myself anyway
