Obviously it's Neil's decision whether he wants to disclose what's happened but IMO just letting everyone know so it can be dealt with would help more than the lingering comments and tension which surely only feeds the trolls more.

I really don't give a shit about this kinda stuff, but I do agree the forum would be better off if it was explained what actually happened. I just want to discuss the festival and get excited, but there's this lingering issue going on that most of us are completely in the dark about. I'd rather know what happened so, as you say, it can be discussed and put to bed and we can get back to what makes this forum so great. I'm tired of this coming up and ruining various threads.

Yeah I agree. I have no idea what people are talking about and yet it gets brought up all the time in cryptic posts.

I still remember Noel saying something along the lines of him wanting to open the festival so he could enjoy the rest of it- looking back it must have been tongue in cheek, not to mention his brother mouthing off on twitter saying he kicked off about him playing after him.

Regarding the other stuff I don't like the fact that it keeps lingering on. I don't even know how Neil can tackle it anyway as they could just keep making new accounts. All of it is just very juvenile, maybe could we all just go back to being adults who enjoy discussing Glastonbury and anyone who is posting stuff (like porn) that has been mentioned then they can get to f*ck.

Also, clearly Neil knows stuff we don't but my (and i think most others) issue was with the way he spoke to someone who it seemed hadn't done anything wrong.

not as easy as it sounds when people have multiple ways of accessing and each often don't use a single ip.

This is a lot of effort just to be annoying on the internet.

And then bans start impacting on other people using that mobile service, who get allocated the IP that's just been banned.

If there was a perfect way of managing these things then no forums would ever get any of the normal commercial spamming.
