Best lineup in the last 10 years?

Every single lineup is relative but I am personally thrilled with this first round. 

Glastonbury pulling it out as always. Theres still so much more to be announced guys!

im sure they do the best they can with what they have available and within budget constraints ... allowing for the huge amounts they give away to charities

Not quite, but if you ignore the headliners it's up there.

I genuinely love it. Obviously no surprises with the headliners but am loving the variety and the undercard is dreamy.

I actually think it might be for me. And I’m not just saying that.

However, I don’t know whether it’s just me but I really struggle to think how bad a line up they’d have to release for me to actually moan about it. 

I get that the headliners are a bit underwhelming for some but I actually hate liking more than one headliner. You’ve got to mix it up a bit and not spend 3 nights at the pymild. As it is I’ll go and see the Cure - not seen them before but reckon they’ll be decent.

All on taste. For me worst festival Ive seen in years but still enough Ill go enjoy and more to come. Too pop heavy for me, find most of the acts pretty bland tbh.

if you cant find 10+ acts to enjoy at glastonbury then its probably you thats the problem not glastonbury! just saying

 

On the face of it this is the line up poster that had the least acts im excited about. having spent the whole day listening to the acts i hadnt heard ive found some right gems. i had my own list of 5 must sees, 4 would see pending clashes. now having listened to the bands i didnt know, ive found 4 more id deffo want to see (Jungle, King princess, this is the kit and aurora).

With the exception of metal fans, if there’s anyone who can’t find at least one or two on there to be massively excited about, I worry for them. From a mainstream perspective it’s absolutely stacked.. and the dozens of MOR indie landfill bands that ‘Glasto Chat’ seems to be desperate for will fill it out later, along with the lesser-known names, so it’s all good. I mean where else will you get Kylie and Hot Chip on the same bill for god’s sake, they’ve smashed it

Actually just at the top line, for the stuff which I'm not fussed about (ie pyramid headliners), when I scan back through the last ten years there were always some that I had zero interest in or walked away from as they didn't float my boat. Would happily see all three this year, but find that unlikely. Lower down there is tons of stuff I'll love to see again or was hoping would turn out to be true ?

+1 for a cracking lineup. I was quite down on the prospects in recent weeks, but they've pulled it out the bag imo. I'd say I actively want to see at least 50% of the poster and would happily watch up to 75%.

Indeed. Hard to have sympathy for those whinging about the lack of indie landfill when the festival has been inundated with it in the past. I'll never moan about variety.

As are Liam Gallagher and Johnny Marr, it's more the craving for the likes of Courteeners who play on every single album tour without fail and whose absence from the first poster should worry precisely zero percent of the minority clamouring to see them.

I've tried to put myself into the mindset of some junior Lammo who's furious about the lack of The Courteeners, but I'm afraid that empathy has its limits.
