kalifire
Lovely to sit back and hear that. Good stuff. All eyes on the webcam come the start of May then...
John the Moth
Extinct Animal Puppet Procession... That is all! Fascinating talk on the history, ethos etc though
stocky3000
Yeah really interesting but not exactly any scoops!
Hotchilidog
Well worth a listen, a nice insight into the background and history of the festival. Alas no new revelations for this year, but it certainly ramps up the excitement for this year’s festival
Youtopia
A giant beehive and an extinct puppet procession is all that was really revealed, extensions to some of the existing areas too. No bombshells but a good listen and interesting to hear about the history and how things are run.

Mardy
In a double header with Voice of the Beehive? Now there’s an act from the 80s that I could get behind.

tigger123
Do we think that the drama she mentioned with the lineup before Christmas is Paul McCartney dropping out?

Keithy
Interesting that Emily said she was getting a bit stressed about the line up before xmas. Isn't that when we lost Macca?
Mardy
I’ve never heard the fella’s music, but I got to say, I enjoyed the George Ezra/Emily Eavis podcast more. I didn’t warm to RdB.
stuie
So what's the point of this podcast series then? What's RDB's angle, if he's not actually working with Glastonbury after all? Sorry, if this is obvious after listening but I can't listen at the moment!

I got the impression he still had his coat on.

It's literally as simple as that? It seems an odd thing to do when his festival company has just failed and people didn't get paid. I'd maybe have expected him to keep a lower profile. I believe Camp Bestival is still going, so perhaps it's part of a charm offensive to keep the Bestival brand associated with positive things. Several times I thought: SHUT UP ALREADY AND LET HER ANSWER. They both asked waffling questions and paraphrased the same idea for ages instead letting her respond. Or maybe I just woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
The Clearest Blue
I like that Emily seems to know that the people who actually go to the festival know it isn't all about the headliners and that they can't please everyone with the top three acts. I'm listening to the Ezra podcast now and to be fair, it's Emily that keeping talking about him. He's happy to answer her questions at length, but it's not him that changes the subject most of the time.

She seemed genuinely interested in others perceptions of the festival and their experiences. There were just a few moments of cringeworthiness for me. I suppose this is to be expected with new podcasts. And maybe I need to not be such a grump.
