Can't believe this news. Seen them a few times, and they were always great. Milton Keynes 2010 was the highlight. It makes it even more sad, now that we've found its suicide.

Fucking suicide, man. That's what has done me. How many more times are we going to read about another young man taking his own life? It's a fucking epidemic and we all need to do everything we can to look out for each other. I would urge anyone on here, if you're feeling like there's no way out, please get in touch with someone. There are people out there who want to listen, want to help and care about your well-being.

Sorry to get all sanctimonious guys, but this is a subject very close to my heart and it breaks everytime I read the same story.

RIP Keith.

Hugely important band for so many people - including me - being a route into electronic music by getting airplay on Radio 1 and commercial stations in the 90's. Keith's personality and style as a front man were a significant part of getting that crossover, without ever feeling like a sell out.

I have distinct memories of Firestarter and Breathe on heavy rotation during my GCSE revision! And seeing them in 2005 remains one of my favourite gigs of all time - the whole of the NIA, front to back, dancing like loons.

A big loss and very upsetting that he's taken his own life and not able to find help.

So sad to read this news... When I look back on my life and the Glastonbury Festivals I have attended, I often think of The Prodigy helping to soundtrack it all. Their performance, and Keith's in-particular, especially at Glastonbury 95, were always outstanding. Keith was a a truly great frontman. RIP... ?

Loudest gig I've ever been at was Prodigy at the old Academy in Birmingham about 15 years ago. 3,000 capacity venue and they turned up with their own sound system that was designed for outdoor festivals. The building physically shook that night and apparently you could hear it half a mile down the road.

Ears were ringing for days after that one.

Damn such a shame, they always put on such a great show. I have a bunch of memories associated with their work (one if the few acts my mum and dad both appreciated). Reading some of the stories people have posted gives me the impression he was really humble and genuine too. A real loss for music

They were booked for this year? The only place I never saw my favourite band was at my favourite place.

I had my fingers crossed for a showing this year, would have been up there in my must sees as well.  Such sad news.  Count myself lucky that the only time I saw them was in the summer of 97 when they were on the high of Fat of the Land.  First headline act I saw at a festival and they set the bar damn high.  RIP dude x

Ahh, I’m extra gutted now I read that they were booked to play this year. Somehow I’d never seen em despite listening to em off and on since 92 and the Prodigy Experience.

Jilted generation has been one of those albums I’ve returned to countless times over the last 25 years (twenty five years!) and on a selfish, personal level, I’m gutted I’ll never get to see em live now. This wouldve been my year, but it’s not to be.

I’m much more gutted for Keith though, as well as Liam and the whole Prodigy family. Fuck suicide: it’s an absolute nightmare for everyone touched by it. Anger, grief, frustration, guilt, the sheer feeling of being unable to help: it’s horrible. (And worse of all is the poor bugger in the middle of it, feeling that their own death is the only way out)
